I love not having to open the door for people trying to sell me stuff. I just hop on the ring and say "sorry no soliciting".

Also, for security, works well. I actually caught someone trying to scope out my home after midnight, but as soon as they saw the camera they turned around and walked away.

Whether you get this one or the regular ring doorbell camera (I got this one due to the better motion detection and wired configuration) you won't regret this purchase for piece of mind.

Had this doorbell hooked up & working for them since the second week of July & it's been working fine & dandy! I purchased the pro for my grands because there wasn't much room on their door frame. Their brick house was built in the 60s I believe & I would've had to get my brother to drill, maybe re feed wire, but it fits perfectly! replaced ring video doorbell 2 with the new pro version. works great and a lot more customization features. This is the wired version (no battery) so make sure you have an electric powered doorbell connection. We did not need to change our doorbell system with the enclosed transformer (but if you are under powered they include the enhancer module)
If you live on a busy street please adjust the view coverage to eliminate false positives. With all the car and house break-in's reported lately this is great piece of mind.

The Alexa echo dot we added to our basement for our kids to use, so they would stay off our Echo

it's a good enough product if you want a certain piece of mind. could it be improved? absolutely! The picture quality is not 4k but it does give you a good resolution pic/video. As for the sensitivity and recording, I don't know why but there are sections in the videos recorded that are cut off. It's happened at least a couple of times. For example, I have a package outside and my wife picked it up. The system recorded some movement but didn't record my wife picking up the package. Interesting, isn't it?

OK - I have to start off by saying that I went the cheap route a couple of years ago and purchased the Skybell HD. It's major selling point was that the cloud based recording was free. Recently it's been disconnecting from my wifi and I have to go and manually reset the thing. So I decided to bite the bullet and go with the Ring Pro. The difference between Skybell and Ring are night and day!

Answer from phone:
Skybell has a huge lag from the time the bell rings to when I get a notification on my phone. Ring was almost instantaneous!

Communication through phone to doorbell:
I was never able to ever hear what the person said on the other side using my SkyBell. With the Ring Pro, I was able to hear and speak to the other person with a bit of a lag!

Motion Zones:
The Ring Pro allows you to customize the motion zone to prevent false motion. Skybell only allows you to dial up or down the sensitivity of it's motion sensor.
