From the manufacturer
Flash&Go Pro
Touch & Glide HPL Technology
The Flash&Go Pro Permanent Hair Removal system uses HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology to remove unwanted hair, painlessly.
Touch & Glide Triggerless
The Touch &Glide triggerless feature makes hair removal simple and easy. All you need to do is touch and glide your hair away!
Protocol & Safety Features
Start with clean, shaven skin
For the first two months treat every other week.
Treat monthly until desired results are achieved (typically 6-8 months)
Treatment Areas
Designed for use on the face (cheekbones down), legs, arms, underarms, bikini lines, and other areas of the body where hair removal is desired.
HPL Technology
Silk'n utilizes HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology, which is safe and effective for long-term hair removal because it uses optical light energy.
Results & Expectations - Based on Bi-Weekly Treatment Schedule
A typical full hair growth cycle may take 18-24 months. During this time multiple treatment sessions may be required in order to achieve permanent hair removal. The efficiency of hair removal varies from person to person according to body area, hair color and how the device is used.
Does it work?
Yes! Silk'n Flash&Go PRO is proven to be highly effective in removing unwanted hair permanently.
How does it work?
The Flash&Go PRO emits a pulse of energy (HPL) which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. Hairs that are in the Anagen growth cycle are targeted by the energy and disabled, preventing future growth.
How long before I'm hair free?
Start by using your device once every 2 weeks for the first 4-5 sessions. After that you only need to treat once a month or as needed. You will start to see results in about 3-4 sessions or about 6-8 weeks. Full hair removal can take up to 6 months
Is it safe?
Silk'n Flash&Go Pro is safe and effective for women and men. It is best suited for lighter skin tones and darker hair. Our built-in skin color sensor prevents the device from turning on if the skin tone is too dark to treat.
Does it work for everyone?
Dark or tanned skin - the light will not detect the difference between skin and hair pigment, therefore it will not flash and treatment will not be effective. Blonde, grey or white hair lack pigment in their hair and are not candidates for treatment

I used it for about 1 month and then fell off the schedule. But within those three weeks, I did not see a change. I figured I should go back to using it recently and found out using IPL is so different from salon laser. Because the IPL is less intense than traditional lasers, I was supposed to be using it every two weeks or more frequently depending on my reaction to it. So, I'll try again...
I just received this in the mail today. I was excited to try it. I have done laser hair removal before (a total of 10 sessions, which took 1.5 years). However, this uses a different technology with the same mechanics- so this is a bit different than what I am used to. Like laser hair removal, it utilizes a strong ray of light to disable the melanin producing hair follicle from growing the hair. Laser hair removal can only be done in a clinic by professionals because it uses laser (well duh?) light instead of what this machine uses (IPL). Intense pulse light (IPL) is not laser, it is the visible light spectrum at a higher range. What does this mean? This means that it is "less powerful" than conventional laser treatments. This boils down to longer time to see results i.e. more sessions. DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL. MY KNOWLEDGE IS FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE AND SOME GOOGLING.
How to use: After plugging in the device and turning it on (I already know I have high pain tolerance) so I set it at level 2 first, and increased it to 3 when that wasn't enough. I pressed the machine at the target (shaven and dryed) area and the light automatically detects full skin contact and fires. It took a second between each pulse. Super easy to use.
Now: Even with laser treatments, you have to wait between 4-6 weeks between each session. Sometimes less sometimes more depending on the person. For laser treatments, after a week the hair starts to fall out. It may look like it is "growing" but it is not. The dead hair is just being pushed out. You can gently exfoliate it away. Since we are dealing with IPL, I think it will take a good 3 weeks or even two sessions for the hair to die. I am not sure since I never used IPL. But this is my guess.
Future: So now that I am done with my first session, I will need to wait and see. Definitely recommend waiting out the 4-6 weeks before another session because your skin needs to heal!! After the first session each following session should take longer and longer between sessions because in theory, the hair follicle should slowly die, which means growing the hair will take longer. I will update this in six weeks. Giving it a neutral review for now since it's only my first session.
At the time of this writing the Silk'n is in the area of $272. Now if it does its job like it says (and again, right condtions and over a long period of time/sessions), personally I think that's a small price to pay for no more shaving, buying of razors/creams/foams and etc. When I got the box the packaging appearance looked a lot like my LumaRx with all its claims and illustrations but what I was nicely surprised with is that it has it's own zippered case (my more expensive Luma stays in the box it came in). I noticed the Silk'n is an HPL device while my Luma is an IPL, I only mention this as a difference but I couldn't find anywhere on the internet that indicated if there is any real comparision between the two. My Luma has a base where it gets its power, this device is just a wand with its cord. This may indicate a few things- this device will be easier to use, lighter and more portable, it also might indicate it's less powerful (remains to be seen but more on that later). This device has 5 levels of power, the instructions say that it also has a complexion measurer built in to the wand so if it detects too dark of skin it will automatically back power down if you were at 3, 4 or 5, down to 2. The wand is quick on recharge and visually operates like my other device (you can still see some of the flash).
OLD DEVICE: I may be rather tougher than some as I have had tattoos and I have had clinical lasers used on my legs which some may say hurt but I say are just an irritant. I use my other device at a level 5 (top level) and it does snap like a rubber band (for me not so much but I can feel it) and it makes the skin warm and a bit after use cause a little redness in the folicle areas (like small red dots that go away after a couple hours for me). Also if I missed a hair shaving my old device will singe it and you can smell the burnt hair.
THIS DEVICE is quick on the reflash, so the charge time is impressive I was able to move the wand faster through my entire session with it where my other device starts to heat up and take longer between pulses by the end. What I liked about it as well is that with my other device I had to wait for it to beep at me indicating that it was pressed correctly against the skin and then push a buttonfor the flash where with this wand as long as it's pressed correctly it will just continue to flash as you move along- much more convenient. What might concern me some at level 5 other than a bit of warmness which lasted only a few seconds, I didn't feel much from it- that's not to say that it won't still do it's job- however- it might indicate it's not as powerful as some and may take longer to get the results you want. Or like I said, the technology could be so improved that we don't have to be uncomfortable with it- AND it will be better for those who can't handle that "rubber band snap". I did notice that this device boasts lifetime flashes seemingly saying that you'll never have to buy a "refill" bulb (which I will eventually with my other machine) so those many sessions that it might take won't cost you more.
So for now I'm reserving judgement. In order to review it properly I will have to return after further sessions and indicate whether I am seeing improvement in my hair removal journey. Going based on my experience with at home hair removal devices: As far as pricepoint, ease of use and portability, lifetime flashes, and initial quality inspection it seems like a very nice device so I am leaving it a 5 star for now, I will return if it doesn't live up to its promise.
