For under $100 you get an official copy of Windows 10 Home with a genuine license key from Microsoft. Once it has installed on to your computer, you can then active it online so you can experience everything that Windows 10 Home has to offer. I was somewhat skeptical at first, because I didn't know what I was going to be receiving upon spending $93 on something I wasn't entirely sure that was going to work. Anyhow for those who are curious to know, you do get an official copy of Windows 10 Home on a CD/DVD ROM disc. The paperboard encased envelope that it comes in, please be careful to not throw either of the two away...here's why!? On the front of the paperboard, where the physical copy of the Windows 10 Home disc comes in. Well on the front of that one, there's a scratch off section where you recover your Windows 10 Home license key after scratching off and removing the silver coating much like a lottery scratch ticket. Also please make sure to be careful, and scratch very...very lightly while scratching off the scratch ticket like silver coating to reveal your Windows 10 Home license key. So you're all aware, if you scratch too hard like some others have mentioned in previous reviews on here. Then you might end up, scratching too deep where you'll end up removing the actual paperboard underneath which will damage the license key that's printed on removing it completely. I personally myself didn't have any issues whatsoever while scratching away to reveal my Windows 10 Home license key...but just be careful ok!? Once everything was installed, I entered my license key while having access to the internet and my Windows 10 Home was fully activated on my computer. I kinda have to say, that Windows 10 Home in my opinion is a big improvement and a step-up compared to Windows 8.1 Pro. Personally I never liked or really cared for Windows 8.1 Pro at all. Now with Windows 10 Home bringing back the start menu like Windows 7 had, it definitely makes things feel a lot easier to navigate and find things within your own computer. Windows 7 Ultimate is by far one of my favorite version from Microsoft of all time...hands down! Also because of my computer running the latest technology. Such as Intel's 7th Gen Kaby Lake processor with a B250M motherboard chipset. My system in general only supports Windows 8 and Windows 10 versions of Microsoft's OS. So another thing to keep in consideration is. Make sure your motherboard's BIOS can support Windows 10 because like my computer, it can't support anything lower than Windows 8.Kind regards,-Ryan

Great product.

Look on youtube for ways to disable the spyware. Microsoft has a lot of tracking options in place setup to automatically send marketing data. Most options can be found under privacy settings. Windows does push automatic downloads without your permission, games like candy crush, minecraft, etc. show up without authorization, but there are easy ways to disable this feature.

Performance is excellent and seems to perform better than windows 7. Worth the upgrade once you disable all the marketing nonsense.

At time of this review, if you are making the jump from an older version of windows to 10, you should be able to do this for free. You can download the windows 10 installer from Microsoft and begin installation, once you finish the setup process, windows should automatically detect the key you used and windows 10 should be activated automatically. Windows will be bound to your motherboard, so you would have to get a new version if you change computers in the future. Worked for me twice so far using my old Windows activation keys from win7. One time I just updated from an old version of windows and didn't need to activate the key, it pulled my old windows 7 key automatically. The second time I did a hard reset and fresh install, during activation I used my other windows 7 activation key and it had no issues setting me up for windows 10.

I wish I knew this before purchasing this windows cd. I can't guarantee it will still work, but it looks like Microsoft wants you to upgrade so they can earn more money marketing your data out and push paid games like candy crush to your desktop probably for a fee from the aps company.

This CD is great and legit. The packaging was official, arrived on time, and the code was valid. I believe this is an OEM version, which means it binds to your motherboard. If you build a new computer, you may have to buy a new version of windows 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Windows 10 Home for New Builds
Reviewed in Canada on June 2, 2017
EDIT: At time of purchase this product was only $65, it is now $154. The cheap price is why I bought it. But I will simply explain what Windows 10 Home System Builder is for those who do not know. So if the price goes lower than the regular Windows 10 Home license I recommend this option instead for new system builders.

So you’re building your first PC and you are nervous about buying a cheap Windows 10 license somewhere online and downloading it to a disc or USB stick. So you go check on Amazon and Windows 10 Home costs you $125!?!? But what’s this? Windows 10 Home System Builder? For only $65? Seems like a great option. But I know what you are all thinking, if it’s cheaper how is it the same as the regular Windows 10? Surely it’s not the same?

Well to start off, yes, it is the same as the $125 Windows 10 license you buy. The difference being that Windows 10 System Builder is precisely what it’s called; it’s for first time builds that have no operating system installed to it. Which is very common in today’s market where many people are building their own gaming or work rigs. So where as the Windows 10 license can be installed to a system that just need’s an upgrade to Windows 10, with System Builder that cannot be done. It is for fresh builds only, and is the same version of Windows that computer manufacturers use to install to prebuilt laptops, desktops etc. Also the System Builder license will be locked to your motherboard meaning it cannot be transferred from one system to another. Unless you contact Microsoft and they make an exception for you. It also is not eligible for free upgrades to the latest versions of Windows, you still get Windows 10 updates though.

So for people building their own PC this option is the better choice. You just will need to have a CD reader handy as this is sold by disc only. Install is very easy, and if you are having trouble head to YouTube, there are many easy and helpful tutorial videos available on there.

I decided to base this review on the System Builder install instead of the overall Windows 10 Home experience, which for the most part I really like anyways. But for a cheaper option for getting Windows 10 Home I highly recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works, but might not register right away?
Reviewed in Canada on July 2, 2017
Everything worked fine, but it failed to register properly as a legit key for several months. Might not be this supplier's fault, perhaps it was a glitch on microsoft's end that got fixed in an update. Either way, the watermark didn't bother me enough during gaming to warrant me pursuing, and eventually it activated itself (not sure when, I only noticed a couple months ago)

5.0 out of 5 stars COUNTERFEIT. ACTIVATION FAILS. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND.
Reviewed in Canada on February 3, 2021
That W10 key was accepted during install but activation failed and Microsoft agent morons took 5 hours of my life thru 11 different calls, most of them I would just be put on hold for half an hour and then they simply HUNG UP. The 11th agent was beginning suspecting this key after all sorts of tests, remote control in the computer, key resets thru command line and all sorts of nonsense and told me (STILL WITH DOUBTS) that this could be a counterfeit product and that this key would just not work, to go to MS website and buy an genuine key. I've pretty much wasted an entire day on this. Thank you. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to hang themselves.
