WARNING: it may seem like the camera doesn't work, but I used a more up-to-date version of raspian (both were buster, but one was missing some software update I could pull down with Apt update&&upgrade, dist-upgrade, or rpi-upgrade), it would recognize camera but couldn't initialize it. Tried it on my other pi and had no problems, switched their SD cards and it worked on the first one, so I know the camera, and CSI port worked. Just something to be aware of if you think you got a bunk camera! I ordered a replacement, and found this out after, so I'm keeping both.
It has exceeded my expectations. Setup was easy, and the quality of the camera's picture is as good as the PiCams I've seen in this range. Like all these cameras, their ability to focus is not great, and once that focal length is set it does not change automatically, but it can get the job done assuming the subject isn't moving towards or away from the camera often.
I attached a picture taken from the camera via a web-based remote monitoring service; this is of my printer bed, with the lights in the room off. For reference, the only light source is a 2ft strip of 300k LEDs positioned about 12" from the bed surface.

EDIT 3/3/23: Their support messaged me and solved my problem!..... (It's been a couple of weeks and good amount of prints later!)....They advised to use pliers to turn the face of the camera, but be careful not to loosen it so much that it falls off and don't scratch the lens while using pliers........ On the other hand if you use a 3D printer then you can print the tool yourself, thus avoiding the risks above!!.... Search for "raspberry pi camera focus tool 3d print". So I'm upping my previous one star rating to a five star rating and also saying that I would buy this camera again now that I know how to focus it! Sorry for the misunderstand, thank you for your Support!

Primarily using the camera with Octoprint to monitor 3D printing progress. Installs easily - ribbon cable is a bit short, but I've mounted the camera and the Rpi together on an arm to the printer.
Image is a bit soft regardless of focal distance - everything isn't super sharp regardless of distance to the lens. So don't expect being able to read license plates or words with this camera. For my application of monitoring 3D prints, it serves its purpose.
All in all pretty satisfied. A little more expensive that other 3rd party camera modules, but the Arducam came packaged nicely in a small box, sealed in an anti-static bag, and worked on the first pass.

The cable is also a tad too short and I had to get an extended cable to mount this where I needed it.
