I makes light control easier and more convenient, permitting me to control bedroom lights from across the room without having to get out of bed, or walk from one side of the room to the other. Additionally, this device connects to the Lutron Hub to enable any connected lights to be controlled remotely, or programmed to be set on schedules and scenes, allowing smart home control of your lighting. You can also control the lights through an app on your mobile phone when you're away from home.

I own 7 of these dimmers. They are mainly in outlets that have un-switched power but are hard to reach, E.G. above cabinets and closets. So they are controlled only by the PICO and not by the device which is fine. And in some rooms I have multiple PICOs controlling the dimmer, E.G. one on the wall and one on a pedestal. The biggest quirk with them is that some LED lights will not go completely off when the off button is pressed. The solution is quirky but works fine and that is to add an incandescent light to the load. I purchased 4W night lights from Home Depot for less than a dollar each. Now all my lights go off.

While I like the Lutron Caseta products, they are expensive when compared to products like SmartThings and they have a limited number of device options. However, the responsiveness of the system is fantastic compared to some of the WiFi devices which exhibit minor but noticeable delays. Caseta uses radio frequency ( RF ) for control rather than WiFi which is the primary reason I went with the Lutron products. I would have given the product 5 stars if it was a little cheaper.
