THE RYZEN EDITION HAS ARRIVED

Create and conquer: The new Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition desktop gives you the power to develop and explore new worlds with AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (8-Core, 32MB L3 Cache, Max Boost Clock of 4.4GHz) processor. Designed for powerful, intelligent and efficient gaming performance.

Push power further: The Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition desktop is designed to fully support custom upgrades, including AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 graphic. Experience incredibly fast load times with 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (Boot) + 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s Storage.

Advanced memory technology: Your system delivers unwavering overclocking capabilities automatically thanks to 16GB Dual Channel HyperX FURY DDR4 XMP at 2933MHz memory. HyperX memory modules are tested at speeds to ensure they are free from manufacturing and material defects, and preset timings, included on the memory modules, enable the highest performance possible on your system.

LEGENDS LIVE ON

The future of design: The new Legend Industrial Design is a return to Alienware’s roots, with a look that pushes Aurora into a new realm. The unique design helps avid gamers stand out from the crowd thanks to bold, continuous lighting and the iconic central loop of AlienFX. Additionally, functional front airways and hexagonal-shaped side venting boost intake efficiency and maximize air movement.

Light it up: Compatible with over 180 games, the integrated AlienFX RGB LED lighting is designed to enhance immersive gaming.

Enhanced usability: By moving the ports from the top of the system to the front, the Aurora gives users easier access, while surrounding lighting helps identify which ports are already occupied.

A NEW ERA OF ENGINEERING

The new Aurora features our Legend Industrial Design with an improved airflow pattern. The Legend ID ensures airflow moves more fluidly and efficiently to reduce CPU temperatures. Lower temperatures mean performance with more stability and higher overclocking which results in higher frames per second while gaming. Additionally, the Legend Industrial Design lowers temperatures by up to 8% at the voltage regulator heatsinks over its predecessor.

NEW ALIENWARE COMMAND CENTER

THERMAL CONTROL

Observe and edit your system’s thermal profiles for performance-optimized airflow. The rear and top vents of the Alienware Aurora work as exhaust to keep temperatures in ideal ranges by removing heat from the system. The front and side vents simultaneously take in cool air to enable high performance and maintain system health.

OPTIMAL OVERCLOCKING

The new Alienware Command Center includes an easy and intuitive overclocking control module that allows the user to quickly squeeze additional performance out of their graphics and memory. Create your own system overclocking profiles, then easily control your system’s performance.

ENHANCED ALIENFX

The latest AlienFX hardware and software supports full RGB values with up to 16.8 million colors. Easily manage your FX lighting zones, edit peripheral settings and save new themes for each game.

An Excellent Gaming Computer
TLDR: You are getting a good product that does exactly what it says it will do and does include everything they say it should. The fan moaning noise is the biggest and probably worst flaw in an otherwise great system.I'm overall happy with the computer. It's a powerful computer that's easy to upgrade and looks nice, plus includes technology like PCIe 4.0 for a bit of future proofing. If you can tolerate some flaws in the design, this is a great system. If you're looking for perfection - which as we know is very rare in a product - It's this system with a top fan that's a bit quieter and an AIO water-cooled CPU. You will be happy as long as you understand what you are buying, however. The pros for this R10 3700X 5700 XT combination:-Very fast processor - video encoding is so much faster than the i7 2600 I was using in a XPS 8300-Very fast video card that stays cool - very pleased with this card! ~100 FPS in Division 2 ultra w/HDR @UWHD ( 2560x1080 ) @ 80c and 70% fan speed, should do 1440p no problem; I've heard there is great overclocking potential in these cards, but I'm happy with the card the way it came. It's like a low moan. I recorded it for Dell support and explained, but they said it's all within specifications and nothing is actually wrong. I'm not happy with the sound, but maybe I'm just a silence snob.-CPU is air cooled and is quickly thermally throttled during hard tests but does reach it's 'guaranteed speeds' which you should know does not include the maximum boost speed being sustained.-Although told I would have fan control in a bios upgrade by support, which dropped and was installed a week ago, I still have no control over fans or overclocking within ACC.-And at this point, the system appears to use the top case cooling fan as the primary cooling device, and leaves the air cooling CPU fan at a constant speed during my limited testing to keep the noise levels down.-Case is larger than it has to be, but is sturdy and has space in the top for a 120mm radiator. However, I don't quite understand why they didn't make the space large enough for a longer 2x120mm radiator too. And the case is heavy, which is bad if you have to move it but good as long as it sits still. And the biggest issue in my opinion:The moaning noise these fans radiate is sometimes annoying. The cooling system should be water by default in this system because of how small and cramped the CPU area is inside of the case when closed up. It's a low profile CPU fan that appears to use the top case fan to take the heat from the compartment out through the top vent in cooperation with the intake front case fan and the power supply fan. Because of this, the top case fan revs up often and for prolonged periods when pushing the CPU, effectively removing the heat but moaning about it while doing so.The computer works great out of the box. If you wanted to, you could install a different top case fan ( Corsair ML-120 Pro ( $25 when in stock ), without any LEDs ) and a AIO water cooler ( Corsair H60 is said to work, it's like $70 ) and solve the biggest and possibly only sore points on this system. The Dell support forums are a great place to get information about a system like this before purchasing it. The parts I mentioned above are being used by other users in the forum with success. It's just the absurdity of installing a new fan and a water cooler in a new computer that has me questioning this purchase. But you do get a full warrantee with a support team. And from what I understand, they support upgrading as long as you don't break the computer fumbling around inside. But contact them before you make any purchases or decisions about upgrading to ensure your warrantee stays intact. With this Alienware R10, you also get access to pretty cool software like the Dell Mobile Connect package that lets you connect your iPhone or Android phone to Windows 10 pretty seamlessly ( even making calls or sending SMS messages ), parts and supplies for a long time from Dell, and you release yourself from the hassle of building one yourself with no warranty on parts you might damage by accident while installing.I can't decide if the trade off is worth it yet, but I'm honestly just having a blast with my new R10 right now ( wearing headphones so I don't hear the fans ).

TLDR: You are getting a good product that does exactly what it says it will do and does include everything they say it should. The fan moaning noise is the biggest and probably worst flaw in an otherwise great system.

I'm overall happy with the computer. It's a powerful computer that's easy to upgrade and looks nice, plus includes technology like PCIe 4.0 for a bit of future proofing. You will be happy as long as you understand what you are buying, however.

The pros for this R10 3700X 5700 XT combination:
-Very fast processor - video encoding is so much faster than the i7 2600 I was using in a XPS 8300
-Very fast video card that stays cool - very pleased with this card! ~100 FPS in Division 2 ultra w/HDR @UWHD ( 2560x1080 ) @ 80c and 70% fan speed, should do 1440p no problem; I've heard there is great overclocking potential in these cards, but I'm happy with the card the way it came. 5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Horse Machine
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2020
This machine is a dream. Plays Cyberpunk 2077 like a dream with right settings, and Modern Warfarr is amazing. Handles 4k editing without a hitch. I did replace Top Exhaust fan and Front Fan for much quiter Corsair fans, and noise problem solved. Very happy with machine and performance. Will look to upgrade in year to RTX 3070 and power supply, but for the money this machine is a steal. Get it while its available.
