My kid is boring, with several months of SIP. I wanted to cheer him up. We tried to look for many toys and finally decided this one. This one is so cute compared to other drones, like a big egg.
We tried flying it in our backyard, also tried it in ‘remote plane zone’ in the park. It is amazing, surprising me.
Assembling and instructions are not hard to me. Taking off and landing went really well. The 4K UHD camera, the AI face recognition, stability, and not bad battery time (maybe more functions we need to explore later) are features value for the money cost.
We should try larger range next time.
Finally, it worth the money. We will try more. We hope to bring it on trips when the SIP finish (by the way, there is a very useful carrying case).

Not quite what I was hoping for :(
Main issue with this product is the camera, for the most part using 4k @ 60 f/s and 4k @ 30 f/s.At first it would only record anywhere from 30 seconds to 90 seconds and turn off, but still showing on the controller that it WAS recording. Any setting using it in the 1080 mode worked fine for the duration of the flight. After the latest firmware update, now recording time in 4k @ 30 f/s and 4k @ 60 f/s dropped to 6 to 9 seconds of recording time before turning itself off. The latest firmware update included numerous selections in 4k f/s ( 24 f/s, 25 f/s and 50 f/s). So far I got the 4k @ 25 f/s working fine and recorded for a 20 minute flight.For a few positives, charger works great, no issues with either battery ( getting almost 25 minutes of flight time with outside temps below 30 degrees F. Auto take-off works fine, goes up 4 to 5 feet and has hovered in position for an entire charge of a battery. Manual start-up and take-off works fine and haven't had any issues yet with the Return to Home (RTH) function after 30 flights so far. So far it is handling a good amount of wind, 20 to 25 mph. My range so far (based on flying open fields with no WiFi interference ) is approx. 2 miles with some glitching. Waterproof kit seems to work great so far, have only flown it in a couple of snow storms with landing and taking off in powder snow. Drone is very responsive to the controller.Hopefully as new firmware comes out ,things will get better and closer to what they say it will do.

I saw the PowerEgg X release during the CES this year. And it was pretty impressive with all the different features.
I was a little bit hesitant because of some of the reviews but I bought the drone anyways. Overall it was awesome, tried out a few times, and worked as expected.
The first time I tried the DV mode and had to do the FW update. It somehow didn't complete the first time although it said it was completed in the app. I re-started the drone and the app, then the second time it updated successfully. The video quality was not so great on the phone screen, but after I exported this to the computer it seems fine.
The face following mode was pretty impressive. My girlfriend and I have tried a few times and it can follow the face correctly. One drawback is if it loses the face, it will need some more time to re-capture the face.
One thing I am interested to try is the anti-vibration of the camera. I usually shoot some v-log videos with my phone but it does not have great quality while walking. I hope PowerEgg X would be a better tool for the video quality.
Today I finally have a chance to try out the drone mode of PowerEgg X. The arms were easy to install, and felt like good quality arms. I took off the drone near my house without any problems. Flew for about 15-20 mins and landed successfully.
The battery is almost out but enough for landing safely. The video transmission on phone screen had some lag from time to time. I did notice a warning message saying too many wifi interference. I guess this makes sense since I am flying around the living area.
The whole flight was pretty stable, but I didn't try to fly too far or too high since I don't want to lose the drone in a neighborhood area. Will try more in some wide space later when this virus thing is gone.
Personally I like the product, from my initial testing, it is doing what it promised. Hope there will be a place I can buy accessories for the drone. I might be able to try out the water take-off/landing in the coming summer.

The Power Egg X was easy to install, with a simple removal of the battery to attach the wings to the Egg. Battery charging was simple for both the Egg and the remote, and I charged both batteries and the remote as soon as I opened the box. The remote had a quality and sturdy feel with nice toggles with good grip. The remote matches nicely to the Egg has you can see in the attached photo. The Egg has a cool look. An app download was needed and the drone required a simple firmware update on both the drone and the remote. The camera had great viewing at night that could be seen clearly on my phone. It is nice having the 2 batteries as one can be charged while the other is in use. The unit has excellent versatility outside of using it as a drone. One important note is to be sure to remove the Gimbal protector or the unit will not fly. The Power Egg X is a lot of fun!
