    I continually find myself gasping at how amazing the quality of the images are. They are so breathtaking, and the texture and colors so remarkable I'm literally stunned with surprise that a TV image could look that good. I kid you not, and I'm not exaggerating or engaging in hyperbole. I waited almost 20 years before getting a flat screen, watching movies and programs instead on my computer monitor. But I finally saw the rave reviews for this Sony, and surmised the technology had matured, so I sprung for the 55" 4K OLED, base model (as I felt the higher model was just a tad bright after looking at it in the store). I have this setup on my large desk with a monitor stand hooked to the back, and I watch it, feet up on the desk, leaning comfortably back in my huge executive chair, and find it a perfect distance. I've never enjoyed TV so much. I never thought it could look this good. Again, I'm not exaggerating. I highly recommend purchasing this as you'll find it one of the best investments you'll ever make, and get far more enjoyment out of it that you will holding on to the money. And I say this as a tight-wad! Right now I'm watching House MD, shot almost 20 years ago, and the images are stunning, razor sharp, skin tones real and tactile. I'm just so happy I waited and purchased this. And, by the way, this is with the settings straight out of the box.

    Great picture, good TV... I have no complaints ....... but....

    a tick that my TV has.... may be a fluke..... but....

    When the TV is first turned on, the "on" light at the bottom of the TV border comes on... to indicate it is on... but..
    that light goes out... it is not all that bright to disturb viewing.... I use a firestick... through the HDMI port..... so if I don't mentally use the Sony remote to turn the TV off under certain situations.... I can see at night the screen still has the backlight on the screen ..... I would think Sony would leave the power on light visible while the TV is on.... but..... my TV can be on and me not know it as the screen will be black.

    Let's start with the good.
    The picture is amazing
    Build quality is terrific
    Physically everything about the TV is top notch
    Now the bad
    The OS is Google TV, the Home screen is designed to market 'recommendations' (Google doesn't call them ads) to you. That wouldn't necessarily be terrible except, every time you go to the home screen expect to click the remote a minimum of 4 times to get to any of your streaming accounts. Googles 'recommendations' do not take into account any of your subscriptions.

    I like the Google TV OS. If you don't like pushing buttons, use the remote or phone Google Home app voice command control, which works really well OOB and doesn't need a learning period.
    Here's my (-1*) gripe, buying a 2nd remote is a no brainer for the sake of preserving a marriage. #1) While a non-backlit RMF-TX520U remote can be ebay'd for as little as $20, a backlit RMF-TX621U will set you back ~$100, #2) And here's the kicker, you can only pair one remote via bluetooth so the 2nd remote will not have voice command, AND more importantly, the Sony DEFECTIVE SW will cause the secondary remote to forget your cable box (eg Tivo, (probably DirectTV)) IR configuration - WTH? ...IMO, a usability engineering fail of monumental proportions.
