.) Hardware constraints: there are some issues due to hardware constraints where items that you've placed (such as habitat modules or machinery devices) will take forever to load. I would land back to my base and it would take a solid 30-60 seconds for my items to graphically load into the game. Bit annoying.
.) Bugs: This has been noticed across all platforms not just the switch but if you have machines that auto-mine resources, you will constantly have a bug where when you load back in the game or go back to where the machines were placed and notice that nothing was mined and your fuel has been used. This is a bug, the machine did mine the resources but the game just doesn't load them for you. Bug has been around for a while and has yet to be fixed, as you advance into 10+ hours of the game this will get incredibly annoying and will force you to stay where your machines are until you've extracted the resource.
.) Handheld looks insanely better compared to dock: I wouldn't say that the graphics are horrible on the dock but the colors are really washed out. I would suggest you play this handheld for the majority of the time.
.) some youtubers blow the poor graphic quality out of proportion. If you've played other ports before such as witcher 3, this will be the same. Not insane graphics but will still blow your socks off considering it's on a switch.
.) Load times are long but not unbearable.
.) I do experience a crash around every 5 hours of gameplay. It randomly occurs even when i'm not in a location with high graphic load. The game does a good job of frequently saving so I haven't lost any progress through these crashes but just something to keep aware of.
Overall, these are still just nitpick cons and some unmentioned pros. Without playing No Man's Sky before and not being a fanboy, I was literally blown away by how a vast open world builder game like this could exist on the switch. I have no regrets picking up this title at full price but if you see this for sale in the future (which i'm sure will occur soon) definitely pick it up.
