Pleasantly surprised. After reading a couple of professional reviews on how good these speakers were I decided to try them. The reviews were not wrong. These were purchased for use in the living room for general TV and movie viewing in place of the sound bar and older Bose Lifestyle system I had. I have coupled it to a Harmon Kardon AVR1510 that pumps out 75 watts per channel and I find volume and clarity are extremely good. The small powered sub woofer does an excellent job as well and will fit the cabinet I am having made.
I find that watching TV and movies with the system on, the center channel does a great job of making dialogue understandable more so that my sound bar or older Bose system did.
I looked and tried a number of sound bars and found that I could not come close to the quality of this system without spending 2-3 times more plus I kept my 5.1 surround that I am wired for!
The 4 corner speakers mount directly to the wall with the included hanger or have a removable base for shelf or table mounting. In addition, they have a single 1/4-20 tapped mounting hole for standard adjustable brackets (See the VideoSecu as they are a good choice for these speakers) The Center channel has a removable base as well , but if you wall mount this speaker you will need two wall brackets that fit the same 1/4-20 threaded mounting hole and now wall brackets are included.

This is a fabulus set, sepecally for the money! Sounds great. The only problem is the sub powers off itself, so sometimes there is no bass during quiet times and then suddely-BASS! Other than that, these are wonderful.

Subwoofer broke down after 6 weeks. Warranty repair would've costed shipping from ny to california, the price of a brand new sub... Fortunately amazon customer service offered to return, but they also charded the equivalent of a new sub for that favor.
The quality was ok, nice highs, low and mid was coming only from the sub. Overall it was ok-ish if you only watch cnn. But week for movies and bad for music.
To avoid future frustration, doubled the budget and bought a single sub, 2xjbl l820 front, 1x lc2 center and two polk wedge shaped speakers for surround.
I would never go again with an all in one system with sci-fi miniature speakers.

Satellite speakers sound good, but they don't get loud enough for me. The sub woofer was very disappointing.. No kick, and white noise if you turned it up midway. I ended up purchasing a separate sub, which sucks because that cost me more money.

I purchased this system to replace an older high end Infinity speaker system. It provides good value for the price, and while it won't match the depth of high end speaker systems, it does a nice job in the affordable price range. Easy to install, but you will need to provide the speaker wire. Since I was replacing a system with updated wire,it was not an issue.

Using this system in a custom way, not as a true surround setting or placement of speakers, is perhaps not a good guideline for other potential buyers of this product. In a limited space, without the capability of placing the speakers around the room, the system has a maximum separation of units, of only 8 feet. Still, the sound is very good, especially when the sound input carries a wide range, from deep bass to delicate high pitches.
The less desirable features are the "nerdy" remote, with so many options that one can accidentally depress a button setting the system off on a wild change that may take an hour to find and correct, and the manual nature of setting it up, that is clearly not for amateurs like me.
