This one is a reasonable size for its capacity. It's not real loud. The pan is large, square with rounded edges. The handle to lift it out works great. Very easy to clean (I don't put this kind of thing in the dishwasher, hand wash with soft sponge and natural detergent and it cleans easily). It has plenty of settings for me - four temps, several presets and a timer. Perfectly fine to make everything I'll need to. It feels solid and has rubber feet so doesn't move around when it shouldn't.
The only negative is that, while it doesn't blow out a lot of heat (I always use it away from any objects/walls so wouldn't be an issue anyway) and doesn't heat up the countertop underneath it, some portions of the outer shell - specifically the lower sides and the metal ring just below the clear plastic section - get VERY hot. Too hot to safely touch. Need to be very careful not to brush against it and always only touch the (ok, pretty large) button to open it. The very top can also be touched as well as the controls, of course. But everyone needs to keep away from the big parts.
Overall, I am satisfied with it and its price was inline with what I'd expect given the quality (generally good, but like most kitchen appliances these days, lots of plastic).

The fryer is designed very nice, modern and beautiful, it reminds me of Darth Vador lol
Right of the bat and out of the box, I could say that it was way bigger than I expected. For a 4QT capacity for something to be this big felt weird.
There's a big push button in front that is attached to a spring to would pop up the lid on this thing and then inside is a square non stick pan with a handle that bends 90 degrees on the body of the fryer to save space. I don't like the fact that the handle turns 90 degrees with a hinge. Fatigue and mal-e-function of the hinge can cause a very dangerous situation if the hinge or handle break. It would be a disaster. I'm waiting for a recall on this to be honest. very risky design there.
One nice feature is that it has some suctioning on the bottom so it would attach firm to the countertop.
The plastic window on the lid comes off easily and can be washed or cleaned. One downside here is that I prefer glass over my food, I know it might break but I still prefer glass even if I have to replace it if it breaks.
The controls are all digital in front, so finger marks can be an issue. You have buttons for preset functions, heat level, timer and top and bottom burners.
I know most people want to do fries in this so here's the fries story. You can add about 3 lbs of potato in it to make your air fried fries. I always spray some vegetable oil to the food I want to air fry. It gives it a better taste imo In the guideline, it suggests you do 33 minutes to 36 minutes for your 3lbs of fries. you can set your own timer and your own temperature which is nice. You don't need to follow the preset functionality. The fries in my opinion are either cooked well but not crunchy at all or overcooked and very crunchy. so if you want your fries to be crunchy you would have to overcook it a little.
It has a preset menu for fries and has 4 levels of heat. When you press the fries button, it automatically puts the temp level on 3. There are several other preset functions such as Pizza, chicken/fish, pie and you have the option of choosing bottom burner or upper burner.
When you start it with your desired temperature and duration, you'll notice immediately by the fan turning on and the noise. It is pretty loud and everyone in our 2000sqf house will know it is on when it's on in the kitchen. It's like a very loud heater fan in the bedroom.
I've found out that you better shake and steer the stuff in there once about every 10 minutes.
Another safety concern that I have with this is the window gets really hot and it can easily burn a toddler. There is no indicator about how hot the window is.
Overall, a good product in general if you are after an air fryer but it's not there yet imo. In their defense, I've tested 3-4 different high quality air fryers and none of them are that close to oil frying yet.

The horrible timer screwed me again so I'm back to lower my rating.

Our biggest gripes with air fryers have been, first by far how big they are and secondly how noisy they are. I was hesitant to try this air fryer because they really do all seem pretty much the same as one another these days, but I've been pleasantly surprised cooking dinner for our family using this two nights in a row now.
Addressing the first complaint, yeah - it's still bulky, you definitely still need a game plan for where you plan on keeping the thing between uses. To the Rapid Crisp's credit though, it has a larger usable cooking capacity inside of a relatively smaller exterior set of dimensions than I've experienced from air fryers in the past. Can they be slimmed down even more? I'm not sure, but I'd say that this model has reached a point where it isn't a ridiculously big behemoth of a machine needed to still end up needing to do two batches to feed a family of four so a thumbs up here - if not an enthusiastic one.
The second complaint about being noisy is more difficult. I personally feel like it is quieter than the other air fryers that we've used. It sounds more like a quiet kitchen exhaust fan (as you know, none are truly quiet - everything is relative) than say, how a hair dryer sounds on high when next to your ears which is how I feel some other air fryers I've used or seen used sound. Sound is subjective though, but I really do find the noise this particular model makes totally acceptable.
So how does it cook? Very well, so far... I've made something easy (frozen fish sticks, straight out of the box) and something a little more involved so far (fried chicken, complete with double dredged battering). Both turned out well, but I was especially proud of the fried chicken I produced using this thing and only a few teaspoons of oil brushed on the chicken a couple of times during the cooking process. It ended up fitting more than enough chicken to make a meal out of it, and have a lot of leftovers for lunch tomorrow (the trick I found is to utilize the vertical space as much as possible). The chicken cooked a bit faster than it would have baking in the big oven, and came out super crispy - now I'm not going to say that it's just the same as proper fried in a pot of oil chicken but I thought it was really good for not having to deal with deep frying.
Build quality of the machines are good but nothing amazing or exciting. All plastic construction save for the fan/heating and pan components. The plastics quality is nice enough, the glossy surfaces are easy to keep clean, and the viewing window is removable for cleaning too. The removable pan is adequate enough to do it's job but the construction is rather thin. The nonstick coating on the pan works extremely well though as it cleans up without hardly any effort, even after the fried chicken experiment. The machines as a whole feel fairly light, which is either a positive or a negative depending on who you ask. They're light enough that two of the feet on the bottom of the machine are actually suction cups that hold the front of the machine down on the counter, as I think otherwise when you press the button to pop open the lid the opening motion would put the machine at risk of toppling over backwards. I would have rather seen a more substantial construction to the machine so it wouldn't need things like suction cups to keep it stable on the counter.
