Update 11/27/2020:Removing one star. At first I liked this vacuum but it didn't last long. The suction is not good any more and I have cleaned all 3 of the filters plus cleaned the brush roller. I have to go over the same spot 4-5 times and even then it's not totally clean. The brush roller just kicks half the debris around instead of sucking it up into the vacuum canister. Unfortunately, I'm on the search now for a different brand. This one is just not working for me.Initial Review:This vacuum is advertised as self cleaning that doesn't allow hair to wrap. This is the #1 reason why I searched for and purchased this particular vacuum, for exactly that functionality. First, I will say that this is false advertising. Hair does wrap and it does not self clean at all. See attached pictures.However, due to the fact that there are fewer bristles, it only takes a few minutes to pick the hair out. I have to do this every other time I vacuum with it. I do not have to use scissors. But, I can expect to have to flip this thing over and regularly pick the hair out otherwise it stops picking stuff up.Granted, I do have a great pyrenees with 6-8 inch long hair and a double coat that never, ever stops shedding. So, this alone challenges the functionality of any vacuum. I only use this vacuum in an unfinished basement and it works very well on the smooth concrete (when it's not clogged with hair). It also picks up hair and debris from the small section of berber carpet.The suction is strong enough to pick up the messy kibble that our dog gets all over the place (messy eater).It is lightweight and easy to use.It's easy to empty the holding container.Like many others, I would say one downside to this vacuum is that you have to lay it down, it doesn't stay standing up if you leave the motor attached to the floor brush. Yeah, you can detach it and set the motor on a hook down by the floor attachment, as designed. But, honestly it's easier to just set the darn thing laying down, for example, to move something out of the way, then pick it up again. Not good IF you have back problems. But then again, all stick vacuums in this style will do the same thing (hello gravity), so if you have back problems this style of vacuum may not be for you. But, for me and the way I use it, it's sufficient. The roller brush is gentle enough that I can use it on top of the dogs bed, then set it down to move the bed over, then pick it up to vacuum under the bed.I think the idea of a no-wrap vacuum is dreamy. This is what is being advertised here and it's simple not true. However, I still gave it 4 stars because it gets the job done and for a $200 price point, I can't expect it to perform miracles. And the issues don't warrant me wanting to return it, it does clean the space I bought it to clean. I'm mostly happy with my purchase, but, feel that it's not exactly "as advertised".I do think that the manufacturer shouldn't call this a no wrap vacuum. Maybe advertise it that it's wrap resistant and easy to clean when it does wrap. But, definitely not a no wrap.

Replacing a Rocket Deluxe Pro that I had for so long, I can’t remember when I bought it. This works just as well, maybe a bit more suction. But the best part is the no hair wrap thing. I would vacuum the house one with tue old vacuum and my daughter and wife’s hair would be completely covering the brush. I was so tired of taking it apart and cleaning just to have it worthless again. Anyway, vacuumed the house three times already, and not a single hair is stuck in the brush! It picks up as much debris as the old one, maybe more… but zero hair wrap! I love it. Also came with some cool attachments that I wasn’t expecting, like the under furniture/refrigerator thing and something that appears to be for blinds. I did read a review where someone had a problem with the cord. I’m not sure what that is all about. It is a normal cord that you would find on any vacuum. Half of our home is tile or wood, the other half is carpet. Works well on both. Very pleased with the purchase. Oh, and I did read a review that had a picture of some hair wrap, almost made me not buy this. But, in the manual it does say this is normal and it will eventually suck it in. Not sure about that as I haven’t had any at all. 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 daughter with hair that weaves into everything, 1 wife with long hair, 1 son who makes a mess, and me… no hair… but do make a mess on occasion. Great vacuum. Highly recommend.

So let's get the negatives out of the way. It's not purple, it's black. Not a huge deal for me, I honestly don't care what color my vacuum cleaner is but if it matters to you, take note. It also didn't come with any instructions and was missing the attachment clip that is shown in the pictures. I don't care for the fact that it will not stand upright. If you aren't holding it or don't have it braced against something it will fall over.

Now for the positives. Amazing suction! It sucks my hair right up with no issues (I have long hair that doesn't like to stay on my head, it's been the downfall of many a vacuum cleaner). It worked great on my wood floors and my carpet. I appear to have gotten extra attachments as well, not sure what they are for, one looks like it would be great for cleaning blinds. Overall I think I'm going to be happy with this purchase.

My first order for this vacuum got lost in transit. So I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement. Only problem is it’s not purple like the first one I ordered. The one I received is all black. I decided to just keep it since I had trouble getting the first one. It’s the same style, but it did come with a few more attachments which will be handy. The vacuum has great suction power and the option for the power brush for carpet. It’s easy to empty the dust cup. The cord is long so I only have to unplug a couple times to get the whole house done. I used to use a cordless Dyson, but this Shark is so much better.

SHARK hits it out of the park again. What a great vacuum. Its a little guy, but I am SO PLEASED with the performance! Let me say 2 words that will help SHARK sell even more of these DRYWALL DUST. Yes, I've said it. DRYWALL DUST. Nice and clean! TY SHARK. But, wait, there's more. They figured out a way to make the dust container even more sanitary and easier to clean. I have a SHARK navigator ( that I love as well) but when I clean the dust cup in my Navigator it's kind of messy. Plus, the navigator has a sponge filter that I clean often as well. Not with the ROCKET! It has a small paper filter and a dust cup that emptied easily (and fully) into my trash can. Shark does a kind of swirl motion with the dirt, maybe that helps. Additionally, Oh boy, did it pick up a lot ! I am extremely pleased with the performance, ease of use, pricing and delivery on this vacuum. My old, clunky Hoover (that still does a great job) is going to a lucky family who will find it at Goodwill!! TY SHARK

I've had this for 1.25 years now and truly enjoy it. I read in Consumer Reports that a stick vacuum could not serve as the primary vacuum in a house but I disagree. This has a great crevice tool attachment as well as the base with the brush has two speeds. I use the harsher speed for rugs and sofas and it mostly gets all the pet hair and crumbs off of them. I may have read a review by a person using this as part of their cleaning business and saying that the suction was not what they had hoped and maybe that's appropriate for someone cleaning such a wide variety of households. However, I find that this is more than enough for a household and it works exceptionally well with wood floors. The best part, which is new to me, are the on-board lights. Both the base with the brush as well as the handle at the top of the wand have bright LEDs. I often vacuum without the lights on (it is daytime, after all) and the on-board lights highlight where the dirt and dust really is. I will never go back to a vacuum without lights.
Drawbacks: this does not come with a holder for the attachments. I separately purchased one that attaches to the wand but I feel this should be standard. Secondly, the cord is fine and after my experiences with cordless vacuums dying too quickly, I will stick with a corded vacuum. This uses a stiff cord so when wrapping it or hanging it, it kinks up a bit. It's likely the nature of having to shield the cord and provide enough power, but I long for the day when a vacuum has a less-kinky cord.

There is only one annoying feature about this vacuum, that it will not stand upright. Otherwise I can’t say anything against it. It’s so super east to change from regular vacuum to a long wand to snatch a spider web or to a short hand vac. Cleaning up is a breeze however I check all the filters every use and find I have to wash the sponge filter every time. The canister just dumps into the trash and then I rinse it out. No bags, no vacuum smell and it cleans better than a big machine. I thought I would never find a vacuum that didn’t end up with hair wrapped around the roller but this thing is king! Makes my life so much easier and takes up less storage space than any other vacuuming have tried. Wish I had bought this long ago.

Increased suction results if you remove the fine dust filters from the motor module. I empty the dust cup with my shop vac and empty that every few months. For ‘top heavy’ complaints, select a few places in each room to rest the Shark vertically. Or put it on the floor and pick up. No big deal.

I had another model of Shark and it was so good, boy I'm so disappointed in this model. Maybe I got a dud. Purchased this in Oct 2020, not even a year old. I'm afraid I will now search elsewhere.
