Top critical review
1.0 out of 5 starsIt's a great camera but became unusable in 3 months

I bought this camera on Amazon after reading many reviews of different cameras. This one stood out to me just as it must be for you, and that's why you're reading these reviews. It arrived promptly in good packaging and undamaged. I've been using it since April and it's now July here, so 3 months. And then it broke. For real, broke.
The camera lens and all the stuff like the ultra widescreen highdef was great. Video quality was excellent! Great camera/phone interface. Great camera/computer interface. I was able to drag and drop to transfer files from the camera to the computer. Perfect if you need to ensure something is preserved, or if you made a "travelapse" video (which this camera activates for you on simply voice command) so you can post a super-fast high-speed portion of your latest trip to post it on Youtube, or whatever.
Travelapse is cool. You can turn this on simply by saying "Hey Garmin. Start Travelapse." (It has voice recognition. It's the same way to stop it "Hey Garmin. Stop Travelapse.") While making the travelapse video, you continue to record at regular speed as normal simultaneously. So you can record a whole trip or something.
I also bought 128 gig samdisk to expand the camera storage of the videos.
So what what went wrong?
The camera is made of sturdy plastic and is black. Well, on the bottom of the camera there is a small hole. This is where the arm piece gets inserted by you, and then the camera hangs from that attached to a small magnet you mount on your windshield. This enables you to easily and quickly remove the camera if you park on a street overnight. Of all things to break, it was this little receptacle hole. Inside, lining the inside of this tiny bowl shaped hole, there are four plastic grasps to "catch on" to the ball when you insert it. Well, today one of those little plastic catchers broke when, for whatever reason, I had to reinsert the mount with the ball. Too much sunlight or heat or something over time? Anyway, so what that means is I can't insert the ball into the camera, so the camera can't be mounted anywhere at all, and there is no replacement part for that. If this breaks for you like it did with me after only 3 months, then that camera you spent all the money on is done. You're up the creek. In my case, I ordered another dashcam from a different manufacturer which hasn't arrived yet.
