its good product but the problem is the buttons are little hard in operation, i think they will be better if you change the design to rubber bottons to be easy in operation.

I'm tentatively giving this a 5 star rating based on what I've seen so far since receiving it yesterday. The picture doesn't do it justice; the unit itself is quite small with the buttons layed out in an orderly manner. Phone buttons on the bottom where they won't interfere with the playback buttons on the upper half of the unit. I like the dual function knob for radio station tuning and volume control. Setting in it's charging cradle it's fairly non intrusive. The vehicle I'm using it in does not have bluetooth capability (duh) and so far, once paired, the phone and this transmitter stay paired. I've been leaving the charger in the accessory plug as I've found that the plug is on only when the car is running or in accessory mode. Once the car is turned off and the RAP turns off, the charger is turned off as well, so no worries about accidental battery discharge. I'm still looking for an FM station that has a sweet spot, but I found one that is minimally used and the unit works well. I like the fact that it has an accessory USB outlet to charge our phones if need be, although we have a 12v charger in the car. This way, you can still charge 2 phones at once if needed. I haven't tried pairing a second phone, although it should work perfectly. Using my Samsung Note 4, playing mp3 files, the control on the transmitter allows me access both forward and backward so I can skip songs if I desire. Radio is fairly quiet during broadcasts, but mp3 played through my phone are crystal clear. Like I said earlier, I'm still looking for a sweet spot on the car's radio dial, then I'm fairly certain that the quality will improve.

GOgroove FlexSMART X5 Bluetooth FM Transmitter Car Kit w/ Hands-Free Calling, Music Playback, USB Charging & Mounting Options - Works w/ Apple , Samsung , LG & More Smartphones , Tablets & MP3 Players

Overall Product score is 3.0 out of 5.0 purely based on its sound quality and application usage;
Product Usage:
Positives in usage
- Great battery life (internal) lasts me atleast 4-5 days for usage (with atleast 2 hrs of driving everyday);
- Various charging options either using USB input at home or directly using the connecting DC barrel and dock in a car lighter port (DC);
- Connecting to a phone is quite simple and doesnt take more than 10 seconds once switched on, all hands free application;
- LCD Display is quite elegant and Hi quality compared to millions of other Chinese made unbranded ones
- usage is quite easy while searching for a new FM channel free to transmit/stream your phone
- Visor mount is handy if needed

Negatives in Usage:
- When used on visor mount, the distortion increases (could be because of the FM channels I have tried in the Melbourne sub-urban areas I travel/live in). When put on the DC barrel, the static sounds and distortion reduces *but still remains
- I was using a $20 Kmart generic FM transmitter before using this (Non-bluetooth and used with a 3.5mm audio cable in the phone), and its static etc was much better than this. I am unsure if I made the right choice in going for this high quality and high priced product.
- The quality of the microphone when used in the handsfree mode in the car is distorted too, the other person hearing to my voice wasnt able to hear proper words without any breaking issues etc. I was able to hear everything properly - loud and clear
- The internal volume travels to a max of 30 units in this item. Put to max and if car volume kept at similar levels, this product volume is much lesser than the other two products that I have recently used. You need higher volume levels when using GoGroove flexsmart X5.
- After using it for almost a month, I have decided to sell it on ebay for a loss of what ever dollars I will face, but looking at product reviews of MPOW Streambot, I will give that product a try.
- The DC barrels is quite rigid which is good and bad. Its not very flexible and the length of the barrel (you would assume) should be sufficient for most cars when inserted in a DC port near your gear knob area - the voice to the other person isnt clear from whereever this is placed. If I put the GoGroove flexsmart X5 near my shirt collar area, then the voice to the other person is clear. Defeats the purpose of it being handsfree. Compared to the other two products I used, I could be easily heard and could have conversations if the other product was with a passenger in the car.
- all push buttons as shown in the images are too much within the body of the hub and are NOT protruded. Its hard to find a button to do something if you are not looking at the hub. I guess too much of quality aligned surfaces dont allow for identification of which button I needed to press when needed e.g. next track or pause etc.

Finish and looks and accessories:
This product looks great, has a great finish and excellent elegant black chrome and steel grey colour comnination finish on the front;
Very soothing LCD display lights - not too bright in the night.
Visor mount is NON-detachable, I was expecting it to be detachable if not needed.

Happy to give any further details over and above whats here. Please feel free to ask me. I paid over $110 to but this and get this delivered to me in Melbourne Australia. There hardly are any options for similar FM transmitter products in the local market here. I bought this as I wanted to avoid the costs included in changing the Head unit and all the other items associated with changing the car stereo unit in my Landrover Discovery 3. The cost of that is around $500 including installation of handsfree remote that get done on the car steering (giving a look and feel of how latest car manufacturers install the bluetooth enabled stereo systems). It be better to go with that option if your first preference is quality streaming of music and handfree calling. This is a part time solution for that and will not give ultimate sound experience as what I was after. Look at your priorities and see what solution suits you best is my advise. Cheers.

I have had this for a year now and overall it has worked really well. I have started to have issues with it not automatically coming on and losing reception much sooner than it used to. Sometimes it just completely shuts off out of nowhere and I have to turn it on and off a couple times before it will start to work again. Despite these issues, this is by far the best FM transmitter that I have used and it is allowing me to procrastinate and put off upgrading my otherwise perfectly good car stereo for a bit longer.

I love my car, but the stereo isn't Bluetooth, and all my music is online now. I was tired of the same old CDs, and can't bear Jeremy Vine. I bought a small Bluetooth speaker for the car, but the sound just didn't compare to the full stereo speakers. Then I found this, and life is perfect again.

I got it up and running in about 2 minutes, without needed to do more than glance at the instructions. It works fantastically, is a small and natty little gadget. Not had it long enough to use the battery function yet, not the hands free phone part. But I only wanted it for the music any way, and it does that perfectly.

Works as advertised. One of the better FM transmitters. Have yet found the need to adjust frequencies when commuting, which was always the biggest being of my life.
Only criticism is that the buttons are awful. When you're driving they're quite difficult to locate and to use them you really have to force them. Only really works with the usb charger plugged in, acting as an arial. Really helps boost the signal. As such, really not practical using the visor attachment.
