    Handy thing.
    5 Stars
    Handy thing.
I’ve attached a few pics next to an eyeglass case and a Sharpie for reference. It is small and that has a lot to do with the sound quality. Having said that, I think that the sound quality is better than average I’d say; this is not a stereo after all.The light is not terribly bright but it is just enough to light up whatever you are doing if you find yourself in the dark. There is a wind up crank handle and a small solar panel cell. Both are there in case you don’t have access to wall power when lights go out. I think you get about 6 or 7 minutes of play time for every minute of crank time on the generator.Radio can also be charged via a micro USB port. There’s a port for attaching a charging cable for your phone or other USB devise.Instruction booklet does a nice job of explaining everything. The display panel is backlit however the backlight times goes out after a few minutes. I do wish that this feature were adjustable. You have access to the weather frequencies which are programmed into the radio and there’s a not so loud ‘siren’ alert button that could be used as a signaling devise, it isn’t very loud though. That’s about the only negatives I can find. I mean, for what it is, it does everything you’d want from a radio in an emergency. It’s good.
