In the homespun days, food was usually fried in a big cast-iron metal pot. But modern times demand simpler solutions. The Presto DualDaddy electric deep fryer fits on a countertop and is so easy to use. Just add oil, plug it in, and in 15 minutes it's heated up and ready to fry. Its sleek, elliptical black bucket shape matches form to function-- simple and classic.

The DualDaddy holds up to eight cups of oil or four pounds of shortening, and it can handle up to eight servings of food at a time, as well as being large enough to accommodate larger pieces of meat or fish. With the divider in, two kinds of food can be frying at the same time with no intermingling of flavors. The internal thermostat keeps the oil at the optimum frying temperature. An accompanying scoop, slotted for draining, is for lifting food in and out or for turning food halfway through the cooking time. The power cord has a magnetic safety connection, so that if the unit is jostled during cooking, the cord will disconnect, shutting power off immediately. After straining the used oil, it can be poured back into the unit and stored, covered by the accompanying snap-on plastic lid.

After frying, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before attempting to empty oil. Wash the DualDaddy with warm, sudsy water and dry it thoroughly; it is not immersible. To preserve the nonstick finish, inside and out, do not use steel wool or harsh, abrasive cleansers. The Presto DualDaddy measures 9 by 14 by 8-1/2 inches (including handles). Presto guarantees this product with a one-year limited warranty. A simple instruction and recipe sheet is enclosed. --Garland Withers

Order came fast. Received it yesterday and tried it out tonight for first time. Simple to set up: clean it and then plug it up and it starts heating up. Instructions says to allow 20 mins for the oil to be ready. You can’t adjust temperature so I will need to play around with it more to not overcook the outer side of my chicken. The instructions manual has times for different foods which is great. I do wish there was a temperature controller. So far I do like it. Super easy to use.

It heats up quickly so be careful and there's not a lot of stuff with it just a cupped spatula with holes to release some of oil while taking your food out of the pot a divider to turn your fryer into two fryers at one time and lid to allow to keep your cooled oil just make sure the fryer has cooled down completely because it will melt the lid if you put it on before the fryer is cooled. It doesn't take up a lot of space so you can use in a small kitchen. It's differently not a fryer for a big party only has the capacity to cook enough for maybe three people a time. Only thing I don't like is there’s no temperature indicator so you have to keep watch on what you're cooking. But other than that I recommend this deep fryer.

No dial to control temperature. What looks like a light on the plug does not go on or off when heating so not sure when at full temperature. With the divider in it is hard to scoop out the food. The divider does not keep out all of the crumbs from one side to the other. I fry fish with Louisiana Fish Fry and the little granules float to the other side. It is also hard to empty the oil I believe do to the oval shape. I am keeping it and buying a fry daddy to fix my fries when I have fish and chips.

We got this deep fryer to make homemade chicken wings, and we love it so far! Still on our first batch of oil; we’re using peanut at the moment, but I purchased this style of deep fryer because I plan on making tallow to use in the future. Tallow solidifies at room temperature, so I needed a deep fryer that didn’t have a submersible heating element. I believe others have said that the oil temp can get too hot, but personally I don’t think I’ve seen it go over 375 degrees. That’s the exact temperature I wanted to cook wings in anyways, so it works well for us! Maybe if you let it preheat too long the temperature will go up higher? Not sure on that though.

This was a great little indoor fryer. My only complaints is the lack of temp control, which isnt a huge deal as i rarely lower the temp. I made battered fish and just unplugged it for 3m before starting. Aldo to note it heats to max temp very quickly! My only other complaint is the lid does not fit tight, very loose. It would be nice to clean it out and store the oil inside it but you will need a seperate oil container. The lid would keep dust out but thats about it.
