Love my GoWISE..........This thing absolutely rocks. We had a Instapot and a power cooker before and neither could hold a candle to this GoWise unit. The Gowise is so much better quality than the two we had before. Ceramic coated pan not teflon so it's much more durable and cleans up in seconds, so nice nothing sticks to it!!
The display on this unit is much better quality and you'll know it as soon as you touch the control buttons. Very nice display unit and keeps you up on the pressure inside, that is very nice to know. No other unit I found has that feature. I love that!
Another great feature this pot has is this' say your power goes off for a minute or so during cooking. When it comes back on this pot starts off right were it left off without anyone even touching the unit again. No resetting anything, now thats nice!! As long as it don't stay off too long your dinner will still be served very close to your schedule even if you forget your cooking...Hey' it happens, I'm old leave me alone.
Another thing that helps my old arse out here is It's controls are much easier to operate than the other pressure cookers I had, I have yet to find myself needing to look back in the manual for anything after the first use unlike my others done. Very easy to operate..
If you want a large pot for large meals like a pot roast or two then this is the one for you. We cook large meals at times for family visits and we also use it to cook large pots of meat to reheat later to make up other meals for a couple days.
It's very easy to do with a large 12qt or a GoWise (14qt) pressure cooker and either will work out fantastic to make your life so much easier with a busy schedule.
Both 12/14 have a stainless lid unlike the smaller model GoWise pots that have plastic lids like other makes. Hope GoWise changes them all to stainless, fit is much nicer and reviews suggest these larger pots seal better with stainless than plastic.
In fact I almost passed on this unit from all the bad reviews until I noticed most all the negs were only for the plastic lid models.
So think about it, you can buy the largest & cheapest cut of meat that fits in one of these pots and in under 20 minutes time it will come out so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. Most times we simply use the fork alone and no knife it is just that tender. We had always used a slow cooker in the past but not one time since we bought a pressure cooker have we used one again. I think the wife sold it in our rummage sale because' this does both slow/fast cooking if needed.
Another feature these have unlike most other pressure cookers is the pressure is controllable so potatoes and similar foods won't come out as mush. Whatever pot you purchase make sure it has a "controllable pressure" button & not just time adjustable. That's all most do is they shorten the time and that's ok unless something else is in the pot you want to cook longer, adjusting pressure down allows all items to cook just right all together perfectly as one meal with no mush.
The flavor of the food cooked in pressure cookers is much better than standard way of cooking, that's highly noticeable and it is a fact.
Something I learned if you cook smothered pork chops in one, toss the chops in the pot with a bit of oil on the bottom like your frying them and brown both sides a minute or two, I use meat/stew button but watch this setting its fast/hot...Keep oil in the pan!!
Then after brown put whatever else you want in with them and pressure cook like normal. Browning greatly seals in the juices and keeps them from drying out, they'll melt in your mouth.
Buy any pressure cooker it will change the way you cook forever but' buy the 12 or 14 qt Gowise so you're the one who changes everyone you knows way of eating and they'll forever love you for it!!

This thing saves me so much time and effort, it's almost like having a chef in the house.
I'm in love with my BigA**Cooka. I have had this for 3 months now and I've used it 20 or 30 times. I wanted the big one so I could experiment with canning, but it's come in so handy for big soups and stews, chili, bone broth, and pho,too. I've only had it error on me once (E3) when I pushed too many buttons on accident. Unplugged it, plugged it back in and it took right off again without a hitch. You do have to fiddle with the pressure valve sometimes to get it to seat and once or twice I've had to remove the silicon lid ring and reinstall because it was leaking steam out the side, but I figure these are maintenance and a small price to pay for the convenience. I have yet to try making jelly but I will and revise my review when I do.Don't let all the buttons intimidate you. Pick something and experiment with it. My first meal in this was a 3lb frozen pot roast. We were eating it in 1:35:00 and it was the best roast I'd ever had. Flavors stayed locked in the food instead of dissipating. Looking forward to corned beef and cabbage in a couple of weeks. Chicken for enchiladas is SO easy in here, just throw your frozen chicken breasts in, add a small can of green chiles, some chicken broth and cumin, poke the Poultry button and shred it when it beeps, OR shred it in the morning because it'll stay warm until you're ready to deal with it, up to the next day. Pork tenderloin for shredded pork too, and it doesn't dry out like it does in the oven. Amazing. No more jumping up when the timer goes off, do the next step at your leisure. This thing saves me so much time and effort, it's almost like having a chef in the house.

I had an issue after using this about 10 times. A piece broke off and the relief valve wasn't working properly. Customer service at Gowise replaced the top, immediately. I have had several air fryers made by this company and I have found that when problems arise, this company will make it right. This is a good, big appliance and it builds excellent pressure.
