Product Description

The DAP-1665 features the latest 802.11ac wireless technology, capable of delivering combined speeds of up to 1200 Mbps over two bands. Use the 2.4 GHz band’s 300 Mbps for web surfing, email and chat, while simultaneously using the lower-interference 5 GHz band’s 867 Mbps for network bridging, downloading, video streaming and file transfers. For wired connections, the Gigabit LAN port enables wired data speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, meaning that Gigabit compatible wired devices can also benefit from the high speeds of wireless AC.

I recently purchased a D-Link DAP-1665 to add an extra access point to my home. I have 20 security cameras, everyone has a cell phone (4 total) and there are 3 iPads, a Nintendo Wii U and a Nintendo Switch. This little device is right now handling 6 security cameras, 2 BlackBerries KeyOne, and an iPad. So far so good. No complains at all. Be aware that the signal on the 5 GHz band does not reach as far as the 2.4 GHz, so for all devices that will usually be relatively far from the access point, make sure to setup the 2.4 GHz band.

So far, I have purchased 3 of this. They do an excellent job!

This thing was very easy to setup. I checked to be sure it had the latest firmware, which it did. It is considered a business class item with D-Link, so if you need tech support start there. I know this because I called tech support before I purchased to confirm my application would work. I spoke with Brandon and his knowledge and support was outstanding!!! I highly recommend this piece of equipment...

Un dispositivo che rispetto al costo al dettaglio permette di implementare funzionalità professionali.
Primo consiglio: dovete comprare l'unità opzionale per l'alimentazione POE, un power injector da circa 50 euro.
Secondo consiglio: non tentate di utilizzare l'unità in situazioni miste outdoor/indoor, in quanto anche in presenza di un infisso con doppio vetro la qualità del segnale si degrada notevolmente.
In definitiva l'unità la suggerisco per tutti quegli utilizzi da outdoor puro, come luoghi pubblici, resort, parchi, grandi giardini, terreni etc.
