However, that's about the only good thing I can say. In the images shows you can see on the left a slide that was imaged by a professional company. On the left the same slide using this scanner is cropped and the skintones are yellow. The first time I tried this slide the face was a total whiteout. I had to set the exposure as low as possible to get this. It's so frustrating that there seems to be nothing out there to do a decent digital image of a slide.

We just shut down our Lab’s wet processor that printed digital images from files, slides and negatives - mostly 35mm and replaced it with an all inkjet printer. Only problem is how to convert the slides and negatives we occassionally get. After reading most of what was available on Amazon we decided to purchase this one from Sharper Image. Our decision was solely based on freedback. We got the copier in and have used it to copy several slides. The copier is easy to learn and use. Best of all quality of straight copies very good. Hardly any cropping of original - an important feature for us. We also liked the fact thst the copier can be used anywhere not just on the computer. Overall, very pleased and can recommend this copier with confidence.

I bought this converter so I could get all my old negatives into electronic form. It comes with two trays; one to hold 35mm negatives and the other to hold slides. The machine itself has several different settings for slides, 35mm negatives, 35mm b&w negatives, plus 110 and 126. Though my 110 negatives weren't a perfect fit in the 35mm tray, I was able to make it work, though I wish they had included a 110 tray, or at least had a way to purchase one. You have to manually slide the negatives through the machine once they're locked in the tray and then push the button to copy each one, but it goes quickly. The machine is small and operates on a rechargeable battery that lasts a long time, so you can use it pretty much anywhere. I scanned my negatives while watching TV. It was easy to upload the images onto my computer from the SD card that's included, and I then I deleted the SD card so I could use it over. I'm glad I bought this device.

This product works just fine. It’s easy to use too. It converts negatives beautifully. Same with slides. Someone complained about the screen not being clear and it isn’t perfectly clear. However when transferred to a computer they are perfect! I’m enjoying this transformation of 60 year old slides and negatives.

If possible this POS would get a 0 star. It IS falsely advertised and not at all as shown. I found the whole device cheaply made. There is no slide loader as advertised. I have over 10,000 slides to convert so shoving them through three at a time, into this fragile piece of junk is unacceptable! There is no on board memory. The device is slow most slides, even professionally produced slides are out of focus . If you have 100+ bucks to throw away be my guest. Otherwise get something else, anything else is better than this atrocious piece of jumk. Additionally Amazon won’’t accept returns due to some bogus crap about explosive gas which is obviously a smoke screen for willfully permitting fraudulent advertising on their sight!

Only the very worst ones, taken in poor lighting were difficult to view and all that I digitized show up excellent on my computer. My husband loaded slides taken in Vietnam in the 70's and fading was expected but the images were good and he was able to download to the computer. Any further adjustments could be done there. He also loaded negatives of family that were very old and they turned out very well too. I haven't had the time to do mine from 1964 and 1976. But looking forward to good results.
