Might be fine for old home slides with no need for precision but this fell far short of my expectations based on other reviews. The unit itself is sturdy and physically tight, no wobbling slides. However, that's about the only good thing I can say. In the images shows you can see on the left a slide that was imaged by a professional company. On the left the same slide using this scanner is cropped and the skintones are yellow. The first time I tried this slide the face was a total whiteout. I had to set the exposure as low as possible to get this. It's so frustrating that there seems to be nothing out there to do a decent digital image of a slide.
