    Sound is awful on this machine. No Bluetooth, so your only choice is a sound bar. The only sound bar connections are RCA, so sound output won’t be great. If you have a family member with hearing issues, buy a different unit. This one won’t cut it.

    Very smart and easy-to-use interface. It took just a few minutes to set up. SmartCast works as advertised - very nifty. Simple and well-designed remote (Could do without the six brightly colored streaming app shortcut buttons across the top). Picture is bright and sharp even in energy-saving mode, although it doesn't handle dark scenes as well as more expensive sets. Sound is adequate. Included stands are a little wobbly and leave the set vulnerable to tip-overs - caution recommended around small children. Otherwise good build quality.
    Overall an excellent value for an inexpensive set.

    What I liked was the picture and I found the sound reasonable but unlike other reviewers, I had no problem with getting enough volume. The set looks nice, the stability on the legs is iffy. The disappointments, and there are a few, range from software to pre-installed apps. Software: the first thing I did was update the firmware,so, it's up to date but the instructional parts stagger when they play and it is near impossible to make sense of what is being said. The loading time for almost everything can only be described as quite slow. I appreciate that there will be some time lag but it seems excessive. My 43" D series came with a remote with 6 preset buttons-vudu, netflix, amazon, xumo, crackle, i heart radio. Of the 6, vudu did nothing, xumo did nothing, crackle(Sony) presented a message stating that its was offering a reduced menu and that the effective November 29, 2018 the service would no longer be available in Canada, netflix, amazon and I heart radio worked. Of the pre-loaded apps Haystack, was inconsistent in the news networks that it offered (CBC was offered one day and the next day it had vanished, same with Young Turks, here today gone tomorrow), Curiousity Stream is a paid app with a very brief trial period, Pluto "says' it does not work in my country, ConTV is a paid service with a 30 day trial period, Plex is a media coordinating app, The USB function is very limited. Unlike the USB on my computer, it is not very useful unless one wants to display photos. I was really disappointed with this limited functionality. A menu icon that one could find more app at the end of the preloads, did not deliver. There were no apps but rather an instructional video (which staggered through its presentation{excruciating}) that told me to get them (the apps) on my smartphone and cast them to the tv. Bottomline is you cannot add apps to the tv.
    No, one cannot get on the internet with this unit and that's a drag because it could have been a saving grace.
    It may seem like a lot of griping about the apps but when 3 of the buttons on ones remote do not work and when the pre-installed apps don't work in my country or are inconsistent, one would think that a little thought in ensuring that everything worked properly for a little while would have been 'top-of-mind with the manufacturer.
    All in all, the purchase is a bust. It's like I bought a big monitor for my Smartphone. A lot of promise but well short on delivery! That's my two cents.

    So I bought this tv cause of the price and well everything works great except sometimes....the webOS fails. For example when you try to go into the pluto app or netflix app, it goes to a black screen. So i turn the tv off and unplug it and replug it back in and it works fine.. yea its annoying but its cheaper tv and LG knows that.
