I bought 'Movie Studio 15 Platinum', it comes with an additional software 'VEGAS DVD Architect' .I have used couple of video editing software before but they were pretty basic when it comes to things I could edit. Unlike those software, this video editing tool is very powerful. The editor is so powerful that with a little tweaks and understanding of tools one can edit everything one can imagine .In the beginning, I used the help toolbar which gave me a comprehensive intro to the software and after sometime I was already on my own and running it like a pro. My friends were impressed with the little projects I created. I am very happy with the product, totally worth the money. I would totally recommend this software if you want to jump from a basic editor to a pro.Special mention to amazon team, I received the product a day earlier than it was supposed to come, kudos to the team.

I don't like to give 5 stars for anything but may add a star later after I use it for awhile. Install was fairly easy. I'm not totally unfamiliar with video editing software having done a little with iMovie and an early version of Nero. Movie Studio 15 Platinum looks like it will work just fine for me. A lot more features than I'll ever use but the simple stuff is rather straight forward. The pdf manuals are very well done and easy to use as far as manuals go. I was able to put together a short movie project in a test run in just a couple of hours. Adding media to the project window and dragging to timeline was easy. Adding transitions was easy. Trimming clips was easy. Rendering was easy. Using Make Movie and moving it to DVD Architect to prepare for burning was easy. But since DVD Architect is a separate program with separate manual I'm going to need to do a bit more studying of that manual to get a disc that will play on a player and not just a computer dvd drive. All in all I'm very pleased. As for the computer I installed Movie Studio 15 Platinum on, it is running latest version of Win10, has 32 gigs of memory, a 512 gig ssd drive, two graphic cards with four monitors. Pretty much top of the line.

TERRIBLE. Did not work correctly on my computer. Could not apply effects. Have had issues with this company's software before. Glad I bought this from Amazon so I could get a refund! I recommend using Filmora, which is a little more basic but works extremely well. I was disappointed because I would like to have used Vegas but that is too expensive. (That also did not run correctly on my computer when I tried a demo version). Since I couldn't afford vegas, I thought I would try this "lite" version. Total letdown. By the way I am currently running both Filmora and Premiere Pro with no issues, so it definitely is this software and not my computer!

I do a lot of audio editing and some minor video stuff for my job. For the longest time I've used Sony Vegas Studio Platinum 13 and its given me issues near to none. I decided I might as well upgrade to 15 because 13 was becoming a little outdated.

First impressions, it looks like a professional editing software. It basically functions that same was as 13 but with a few minor functionality changes (some welcomed, some not). Unfortunately, both the undesired features and look cannot be customized to my preference.

After many months of using the product I hardly consider this an "improvement". I find that as I add more tracks, effects, and images, the product slows down to a halt. Now, I built my own PC to be able to handle video editing software and Vegas 13 works without a hitch.

Needless to say, I use Vegas 15 for my simple products but if its something heavy I continue to stick with 13. Buyer beware, you're in for a... Not anything fantastic.

I bought this with the idea of finding a program that could do what adobe premiere pro could do, but more simplistic and easier! This was the right program for maybe a week before it's plugins stopped working and overall the quality of the product decreased. It kept freezing and bugging out when I was trimming clips. This was NOT a computer issue since I've just purchased a brand new asus rog to run this off of. To say the least it's a sluggish and faulty piece of software and if you're looking to make Youtube videos or anything over the length of 10 minutes this program won't work for you.
