Clearly not interested in assisting customers.
This is an Arlo Ultra you are looking at. Two years (the first 16 months were trouble free) and this is its inside. The camera, camera case, and battery must be replaced. It was working fine, then not charging. This is a camera I can not get to as it is a distance from me. When it stopped working, I assumed the solar panel was blocked.I get that maybe the water seal was not great. I am not happy about is their Customer service contact options. There is no number to call. Their chat bot eventually gets you a human. In my case the human could not assist me and escalated my case. To my knowledge, I did not hear back from that escalation. I then emailed support@ and am now dealing with a ticket system.The ticket system would be fine, but I can’t see my reply or notes online (nor is there an email that reads my case has been updated). Personally, I don’t like that they don’t pay enough to hire enough people to support their product. Every company says, “due to high call volume” your wait time may be longer….“High call volume “ means their product needs a lot of support. They are not paying enough to have a correct amount of service people, and / or other means of contacting the customer or resolving the customer’s issue suck too. With the “due to” statement they are trying to blame the customer for calling in the first place; if only all of you did not need to contact us.In Argo’s case, there is no discernible telephone number to call on its website nor a contact form and, their online support has been unresponsive when chatted at.Lessons learned: before putting a camera ( meant for the outside) out in the elements, put a piece of tape around its enclosure or shield it well for the elements ( see photos) If the item fails, you are out of luck.Arlo did eventually call me. They are issuing an RMA so I can replace the product.
