I bought this to increase my loading times on my Xbox One X and after several months I'm happy with the purchase.

I thought it might be difficult to do, but literally all you do is connect the thing and then follow some prompts. Luckily Xbox has anticipated the desire for faster loading times, so they have easy steps in the storage portion of the settings to transfer your current games and information over to the SSD. I just let it do all this in the background and it was ready when I played it next time.

I definitely think for the price if you're not looking for the new consoles soon this will be a great little investment in the meantime. Many larger games I had to sit through loading screens for took much less time. Definitely a good investment until you can actually buy a new console for a fair price. Probably a better investment than the new Xbox until some games actually come out that utilize the hardware.

So this is my first dram cache less ssd drive and it is ok. (because it was not very expensive)

Got 4 of them to put my steam library on and here is how they work in sequential at various stages of fullness:

connection: 10 MBPS USB

491 MB read speed 19 MB write speed at 94% full.
492 20 92%
490 498 (empty)

connection: 5 MBPS USB

445 303 (empty)

They write fast up to maybe 400 MB full then they drop to around 20 MB write speed, but read speed seems always good, not unexpected. This was observed on amd 570 chipset motherboard.

This drive would not connect to or be recognized by a 2018 Dell XPS 15 running Windows 10 Pro, a 2019 MacBook Pro 16" running macOS Catalina v 10.15.6, or a Windows 10 Pro VM in VMWare running on the MacBook Pro.
I did not troubleshoot beyond the usual because this type of external SSD should just work. I've had no issues connecting the T7 Samsung SSDs to both of these machines and to the VM.

Get the 960GB version if you want a 1TB storage. They have similar storage space, 953GB. Perfect storage for the price. It comes with only C to A 3.2 Gen2 usb cable. Would've been better if they'd also added a C to C cable, but one cannot ask for more at the given price.
*It has the same storage space as the 1TB version, i.e 953~ GB.
*It's 2000 rupees cheaper than 1tb version..!!!
*Performs better and faster than most internal SATA SSDs.
*Much smaller, lighter and more portable than most other SSDs.
