One way to describe it is like unboxing an Apple product
    3 Stars
One way to describe it is like unboxing an Apple product
The design of the packaging was simple yet refined. One way to describe it is like unboxing an Apple product. It seems modern and sleek and just a pleasure to unwrap to see what treasure lies beneath. The packaging wasn’t cumbersome; you did not have to untie a million plastic/metal ties or separate plastic to unleash the awaiting prize. The package included the ear phones, a set of small and large ear tips to go with the medium ones already on the device along with a carrying case.At first glance these Bluetooth wireless buds looked to be bulky to include the in-line mic/volume device and heavy like a pair of cheap knockoffs I had previously ordered off of Amazon. One note on the knockoff QY7’s is that the sound quality and battery life were really not that bad, especially for the very little money that they were purchased for. The QY7’s felt bulky, heavy and made my ears hurt and feel tired after about 30 min.I picked them up and surprisingly they felt very light albeit still bulky comparted to the Jaybird Bluebuds that I have and use as well. I left the original size medium ear tips on and placed them into my ears. They are the MOST COMFORTABLE ear buds that I have ever worn. I have used these for 2 months now. I work out 6-7 days a week doing Crossfit and training for marathons. So, I can say that I have spent many hours a week with these in my ears and they have never given me that hurting or “heavy” feeling all the other Bluetooth earbuds have in the past. On caveat that is a drawback for me is that when I work out especially in the winter; I wear a microfiber beanie hat. With these in my ears the bulkiness of them becomes a drawback leading to uncomfortableness from size if these pushing on my inner ear from the beanie. I have the Jaybirds that have a smaller form factor and do not do this when I wear the beanie. I also want to note that these NEVER fall out of my ears and I NEVER have to readjust them during exercise which is a HUGE plus for me. Just a side note; the apple earbuds DO NOT stay in my ears at all!! I have to mess with them the whole time when exercising, in fact, if they are the only ones in my gym bag I go WITHOUT!!The material seems to be hard plastic and soft rubbery plastic that overall feels top end and has given me no issues thus far. I sweat profusely and have had no issues with sweat altering the performance of these headphones. The added clip to attach them to your shirt seems to work as intended but for me most of the time it pulls from the wire and stays on my shirt if I do not get a good grip on the actual clip. The in-line mic and volume button has worked flawlessly for me to this point. The negative for is that it is extremely bulky as if there were a separate battery stored in there or something. I find that because of its size and heaviness it swings back and forth when I run and it can get super annoying on long runs. I don’t really notice it when doing Crossfit or lifting. The structure has held up fine with no malfunctioning parts or rips or tears as of yet. The reported sound quality of the mic from people that I have called has seemed to be good even when I am running or in the car with windows down.Connecting these headphones to my devices was easy and painless. You can be connected to 2 devices at one time which is pretty cool. The other plus for me is that the range is outstanding. When in the gym this is awesome thing. It makes it so I don’t have to take my phone around the gym with me. I have a gym with a track around it and I can go do a lap and come back and never lose a connection. I bet it is over a 100ft away at the far end of the track. The battery life is probably on the low end of average. You would think with the size of the earbuds and in-line mice with volume controls it would be at least 8 hours if not 10. I can almost get 4 days out of one charge, if I don’t watch Netflix or anything like that at night. One feature on the battery is that when you turn them on they have a voice that tells you how much battery life you have remaining and it is always rounded to the nearest 10%. So, if you actually had 96% battery life it would say; you have 90% battery life remaining. To some it may not be annoying but for me I want to know exactly.Sound quality is as to be expected by Bose. It is very clear and even feeling. The highs are not too high and mids are perfectly balanced and the base is not super bassy (is that even a word). I think that someone that likes a lot of bass might be disappointed but for me it is perfect. A couple things to note is that these are not noise cancelling and are not marketed to be. These seem to have the perfect balance of passive noise meaning that when I’m running I am totally immersed into the music but when a car comes near I can still hear it. Which I find amazing!! Another thing to note is that the volume doesn’t get overly loud. What I mean by that is that it does get loud but you cannot make it SUPER loud, like it has a limit or cap on how loud you can make it. For me it seems to be just ok but I would like to have the option to make it a little louder. One last thing on sound I would like to mention is that when I’m home relaxing and I watch TV on my Ipad with my children running around I like to leave one earphone out so I can make sure I can hear everything in the house incase I’m needed. So, with that said with one earphone in the Bose experience diminishes and is less than average on the sound quality. There is some kind of “magic” that happens when both ear pieces are in but with only one the “magic” is simply gone. Conclusions: Finally, Bose has entered the sporty Bluetooth headphone world!! Overall not bad but Bose has a lot of work to do especially at this price point. Almost wish I would have waited for the second version. The Good: Probably the best pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones I own. The sound is amazing. Fits and stays in my ear. Super easy to pair with my other devices. The Bluetooth range is outstanding. Super lightweight although looks bulky. The Bad: The price is on the high side for what you get compared to the current competition. Not so comfortable when wearing a beanie hat. Super bulky ear pieces and in-line mic. With only one earpiece in the sound is not that great! The Bose app really doesn’t really do anything. The battery life is marginal for this price point.

After trying many different brands of wireless sport earbuds, I can confidently say that these are the best! I've been waiting for Bose to come out with the sport version of their wireless earbuds for a long time...and they're finally here! I couldn't be happier.

The sound is what you'd expect from Bose, but with that said, all sweat proof and water resistant ear buds will be a bit tinnier than a full cupped headset. Some songs sound more tinny than others, but the bass and the volume are both impressive for earbud size headset.

The comfort is among the best I've tried. They fit perfectly, don't fall out at all during a run or bike ride, and are comfortable even for being worn for hours at a time.

There are some great features as well, which most earbuds do not have... It can connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at a time. This is handy if you want to say watch a movie on a tablet, but still receive a phone call from your mobile without manually switching connections. This has worked well and the SoundSports seamlessly switch from movie to call, and then back again to the movie when the call is done without any user interaction. Very nice feature to have!

If you run or workout with a buddy, there is also a great music sharing feature, which works through the Bose App, downloadable to any mobile device. You and another user with a Bose compatible headset can share music coming from one source. This is great when running with a buddy or family member to both listen to the same music at the same time. Great for planned workouts and shared experiences!

The charge capacity is also great. I've used it for up to 5 or 6 workouts in a row without charging. I recently bought the Bose case as well, which is great for charging and protecting on the go. These charge fully in just a couple hours and will last 5 or 6 hours on a charge. The case will charge them up 4 or 5 times over before having to be charged itself, and it has indicator lights on it that tell you the battery status of the case and the earbuds. Worth the extra purchase!

There is a remote on the cord that allows you to adjust volume (on Android, it is a separate volume adjustment rather than directly adjusting the system volume which would be better) and a center button that allows you to pause, skip next song, back up a song, or answer/hang up a call. If you hold in the center button, you can also use voice commands to place a call, send a text, and ask questions like what song you're listening to. One little quirk that I've noticed, at least on the Android devices, if the mobile device asks you to confirm or asks a question, there is no way to answer the question. For instance, to send a text, you can speak to whom it is intended to go to and speak the text, but when it repeats the text back to you and asks for you to say "Send", it doesn't automatically listen to your response. If you hit or hold in the center button again, it cancels the text. Something that hopefully Bose will correct with a firmware update.. and yes, these headphones are firmware updatable via the Bose App on your device.

Overall, I love these earbuds and use them almost daily. I stand by Bose products and have never been disappointed!

Bought 2 pair of Beats Flex and both were defective within a few weeks and stopped working (known issues I am told) so returned then both and tried these. I expect these will last, but cannot comment on that yet so my only comments are on sound. As for sound, what a difference. The Beats sounded like like an old discman with the treble turned all the way up. These Bose, on the other hand, has Bass and good Mid Range. Whatever they are doing for good sound in a headphone, they need to keep doing it. Again, too early to comment on how long they will last but sound quality is great and they do not fall out when I run. You do need to get used to that fact as they do not seem like a tight fit (which means they are actually comfortable) but do not move or fall off.

UPDATE: Okay like i said i'm a certified audio engineer for music and films (and not a weekend warrior audio engineer) so I'm a bit of an audio snob and particular about sound more than most.

All the reviews youv'e read about this product are ALL right - even if they all say different things. As it turns out there is a Pre- and Post- firmware upgrade version of this product that is difference enough to incorporate all that you've read. I'll try to summarize them here:

    PRE-FIRMWARE UPGRADE
this is where the buds are a bit quiet and require turning up the volume into the 65-75% range to get decent volume. So in some cases some will complain these are too quiet (riding on the train, etc.). This is also where the sound is of higher quality and clarity of the different freq ranges are much more balanced and correct.

    POST-FIRMWARE UGPRADE
they probably heard all the "too quiet" complaints by those that use this actively and in louder situations, so the firmware definitely boosts up the volume (mine are tpically right around 50% post-firmware upgrade - and at times that can sound loud...) This is also where the less-defined mid-range and rolled off top and bottom end come in. It's a flatter, but punchier sound. Most likely to make it easier to hear in active/loud situations - but quality and authenticity of sound is noticeably different and lower quality (slightly tinny, and as if it's distorting like the recording levels were too high). At differnet volumes the active EQ works and at some volumes it doesn't work as well in post-firmware upgrade land.

As far as fit and sticking in - for me these are the first pair to stay in real good with my ears and hold. I'm typically readjusting and re-sealing my earbuds every 10 seconds or so with most models. On this one I thnk i still do that but b/c of habitual reasons and not actually needing to re-seal them in my ear. These are extremely comfortable and stay in your ear very well.

Rain didn't come today so moisture resistance has not been able to be tested yet.

Definitely READ THE MANUAL before you use this one as some things are not obvious just using it (like how to power BOTH the battery charger and your phone at the same time... how to move your phone in/out of the case...) once you figure that out (will take a few minutes) then its' pretty easy.

Consigliatissimi (vedremo in usura e durata come andranno).

I'm training for a marathon and was sick of getting tangled with my iPhone headphones and suffering the inevitable "ear tug" injuries that blight music loving runners.

    In my headphones I wanted;

    Good battery life
    Excellent sound quality
    Cheap

I got two out of three. Bose ain't never going to be cheap!

Having read many many reviews I plumped for these as although similarly priced headphones do have longer life the sound quality reports swung me.

I have not been disappointed. The sound quality is as you would expect from Bose and is phenomenal. There are plenty of settings in the companion app that enables you to tinker with the sound should you wish but it's great straight out of the box.

Pairing etc is easy as you would hope and I was off and running in no time.

Now, they do look a bit bulky and I did have a concern that the "ear tug" injuries may be replaced with "ear droop" as the large earpieces dragged my ears down to the stage where I look like Noddy's mate. I'm relieved to be able to report this is not the case and whilst they look a little bulky they are super light and fit really well. Even after a 10 mile run and the requisit bouncing up and down they encounter they stay in and offer no discomfort at all.

I have been known to struggle with in-ear devices (anyone remember those old Jabra Bluetooth earpieces from about 15 years ago?!) but these are great. They're comfortable and they fit.

These are fully iPhone compatible so you can make and receive calls and have full control from the little controller on the cable on the right hand side.

The only negative is that I have experienced a bit of Bluetooth disconnection. Perhaps every couple of hours the music stops and the slightly robotic lady announces that the connection to my iPhone has been lost. By pressing the middle button on the controller (play) this has always instantly reconnected and we're off again picking up with Right Said Fred from where we left off. This is a little annoying but doesn't happen enough to bug me too much.

The headphones come with a natty little zip pouch and a short USB charging cable. As seems the way nowadays there is no plug and you'll need the services of a USB plug to get them charged.

Overall I love these headphones and can't recommend them enough if you want to splash a fair amount of cash on really good Bluetooth runners headphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beste Sport Drahtlos Kopfhörer im Vergleich mit PowerBeats Wireless 2

    Einsatzgebiet: Joggen, Fitnessstudio, Renn-/Fahrrad fahren
Vorhergehende Sport Kopfhörer: Powerbeats Wireless 2, Bose SIE2i

    Vorteile:
