Almost gets it right. Sounds great, doesn’t listen.
Almost gets it right. This speaker packs a great deal of punch and the famous Bose bass in its small footprint. Great looking device, very good integrated app (a must have - more on that in a bit), convenient preset features and the ability the stream a wide variety of sources with a goal of Alexa integration. Goal is the operative word - I’d say the Alexa feature works reliably maybe 60% of the time - and this is more than the run of the mill Alexa / voice integration getting it wrong - the Bose simply fails to respond to any voice command, pause, volume, stop, etc, without any rhyme or reason. Say it clearly, say it loudly, say it nearby, it doesn’t make a difference. To remedy this I need either force a change via hitting a preset, changing a station on the app, or even unplugging it. The device definitely integrates well with the other Alexa systems in my house and zones, is always available as an option via spotify (one of my main reasons to buy it) but just doesn’t listen. Just like a teenager.
There also is a lag in volume after receiving and processing a command and then acting on it. Like the volume on a track stays at a 1 or 2 before resuming at a 4 or 5 while it thinks. Odd.
On the plus, the Bose app works really well. Nicely lay out, pulls in multiple sources, and make the thing really work well.
And perhaps most important is the famous Bose sound - it’s rich, full, bassy, room-filling, and totally satisfying. It’s a major upgrade from a standard Echo and makes for a great every day speaker. The sound and always available reliable Spotify connection was so good, that I bought the larger 500 for my office.
Bottom line - great speaker, great sound, needs work on Alexa integration.

この度、アマゾンAlexaと、アップル製品でのairplayの使用のためにbose home speaker 300を取得。リビングでの使用。
◯ デザイン
・外観はBOSEらしく高級感が有り好感が持てる
◯ 操作性（本体）
・上部操作ボタンをタッチしたときの反応音が、するボタンとしないボタンがあって、わかりにくい。
マイクOFFボタンと手前の1~6のプリセット番号ボタンだけ反応音がする、
なぜ肝心の音量の＋−ボタン、その他ボタンを反応するように設計しないのか疑問。
（音声入力すれば？ということには、後述）
・反応LEDが正面の上部に1mm x 40mmくらいの線状なのでとにかく、反応がわかりにくい。
設置位置が視線よりかなり下、例えばローテーブルなどにある場合反応が視認しずらい。
天面にも反応LEDライトをなぜつけなかったのか大いに疑問。見下ろす位置での使用を想定していない。
机くらいの高さの場所や、壁のサイドボードでの正面方向にしか設置場所を想定していないのでは？
・反応部分のLEDライトが弱すぎて白色のみ、昼間だと反応しているかわかりにくい。
デザインのためかコストダウンなのか、面積的にも小さすぎる。
遠目で確認するにも前面にのみLEDがあるので正面側でしか見えない。
※これを思うにEcho Dotの全周が回転し光る、光の色が変わるデザインは秀逸だと思う。
◯ 操作性（Alexa音声操作）
・Alexa音声コマンド入力がブラッシュアップされていない。
・例えば、Alexa経由の音声操作のいろいろな反応が最悪。
音量を上げ下げの音声コマンドの操作性がEcho Dotとかなり違う。
音量を上げ下げの指示をすると、一瞬悩むような反応がある。
音楽やradikoが流れている時にEcho Dotでは「Alexa大きくして」で音量が下がるが、
BOSEでは「Alexa音量を大きくして」としないと反応しないことがある。
また反応時に一瞬音が下がり、その後音量が変わる、これはEcho Dotの同じだが、
BOSEの場合音量が変わらない事が時々ある。
・指示したコマンドと違う答えが返ってくることがある。
例えば音量指示にたいして「新しいアルバムが聴けるようになりました」とか、
その他、なんで？というようなAlexaの反応が時々返ってくる。
・radikoスキルでの選局をBOSEへの音声コマンドで指示をすると選局ミスをすることが多い。
◯ 操作性（Alexaアプリ）
・Alexaアプリとの連携がブラッシュアップされていない。
・会話継続モードが設定できない
・デバイス設定の「グループ」で「全部屋」にはBOSEは組み込めない。
互換性がないとの表示。
リビングのスピーカーにBOSE、ダイニングのスピーカーにEcho Dot、
寝室のスピーカーにEcho Dotを設定。
・上記の理由から「マルチルームミュージック」「ステレオペア/サブウーファー」にBOSEは組み込めない。
※ステレオペア/サブウーファーはBOSE製品だけでBOSEアプリでシステムを組めばいい
ということなのだが、他社のスピーカーをAlexa経由でステレオペア/サブウーファーとして
設定することはできない。Alexaアプリ経由で、BOSSスピーカー"システム"で音楽を流せるかは未確認。
よって、ホームスピーカーとしての便利な使用を考えているのなら再考の余地あり。
素直にAmazon製品（アプリには色々問題あるが）を選んだほうがストレスはかからないと思う。
