Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

Pros:
-Excellent performance from the 3060 with 105W TDP coupled with the octa-core 11800h.
-Great thermals with the GPU never exceeding 80C and the processor rarely going above 80C while playing even the most demanding games.
-Stunning OLED display.
-Sleek design and sturdy build quality (besides the slightly wobbly hinge).
Cons:
-Very buggy and frustrating to use included control software. My main gripe was that the fan profiles reset every time you plug in or remove the charge and you have to manually set it to what you want every single time. I ultimately ended up giving up on getting it to work properly and switched over to using a 3rd party software.
-Battery life is average at best, I get around 6 - 7 hours of battery life doing moderate web browsing and coding after the latest BIOS update which is enough for me to get by but I would have preferred to get a couple of hours more especially considering that this model has a 99kwh battery.
-The screen hinge can be a bit to the wobbly side but it doesn't wobble during normal typing so it doesn't bother me too much.
In conclusion, I am very satisfied with this laptop but I wish they would improve their software.
Pros
- Screen is beautiful!
- Relatively thin.
- Fingerprint sensor is very useful.
- Keyboard feels really good.
- Easily upgradable.
- PCI-E 4 support for nvme is great, makes everything load quicker if you buy WD850 for example.
- I have 2 monitors connected via DP 4.0 and HDMI, you can attach more screens via Thunderbolt technically.
Neutral
- Battery life for the power hungry 11800H is ok I suppose... the battery itself is still much larger than in any other laptop in this field. I can't see how you can go 8 hours as Gigabyte says though.
- Fans can get really loud, but it is expected... better loud and cool than quiet and hot.
Cons
- It can get hot... So better to customize fan speeds when playing games.
- Gigabyte software is glitchy indeed. Where you have to turn on and off settings on your own because they don't get saved.
- Back-lit keyboard does not illuminate secondary (fn) keys, which is VERY annoying, because when it is dark and you need to increase the volume or brightness, you can't see them.
- It is a bit heavy.
- I wish GPU had higher TDP, 105 is not bad, but Aorus with same setup has 130.
I DIDN'T GET THE CODE FOR THE MARVEL GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY GAME, I'M VERY ANGRY ABOUT THAT, I CONTACTED MANY TIMES AMAZON SUPPORT TEAM AND THEY NEVER SENT IT, AMAZON SUPPORT TEAM SOMTIMES SUCKS AND DOESN'T HELP AT ALL IN THIS SITUATION AND HAS NO WORD, BECAUSE THEY SHOULD CONTACTED ME IN 2 DAYS AS THEY PROMISED AND NOW IT BEEN MORE THAN 10 DAYS, I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN BUT NO ANSWER UNTIL NOW.
Now we should talk about this beast because that's what's interests you, I respect gigabyte for the hardware because it is a top notch for the buck, but sincerely as all the owners said before me, please gigabyte, your control center sucks and even with the new update that makes the AI permantly disabled possible, but each time the laptop changes the modes itself between batterie, power plugged & when restarting the laptop. Please just give us a solution for this because I'm one of the users who likes just to Uninstall the bloatware apps but keeps the original windows, so please give us a control center with better DESIGN, COLORS not orange pls and better user EXPERIENCE. Readers keep reading because I will give solutions for batterie life because this laptop needs to be on manuel mode each time depending on the tasks.
- No mux switch and no optimus, so please Gigabyte make a new bios update with access to one or both of those.
- Cpu 85°c thermalthrottle at 90°C, the gpu otherwise can get hot at 80°C and 85°C at the hot spot when it is not in full load and just at 66w and not 105w max tgp as mentioned in the gigabyte website, I don't now yet if others got the same results because there is not that much info in the web or forums for this version. But you can get lower temps if you lower the setting and v sync activated with dlss balanced or off, it can keep the laptop cool but kill and block the fps at 60 and lower a bit the performance. I didn't used it yet with nvidia creators drivers for videos editing, so can't tell for now.
- To optimize your batterie and get more than 9hours on 100% charge when you're just web browsing, doing light tasks or watching videos, put your keyboard light at static 10% light or no keyboard lighting at all, change your screen resolution to 1080 or 2k, screen brightness under 40%, AI disabled and all the active backgroud apps none used closed, & choose integrated gpu and not dynamic boost if you don't do this you will gets under 2 hours specially at 4k resolution and AI enabled and that can be bad for some users on the go.
- The screen is gorgeous but maxed at 60hz but you can hook up this beast to an external monitor from the hdmi port to chase thos FPS, you can switch the native screen to diferent resolutions from different settings and that can be very interesting for a hybrid use and also adding more than 100% batterie life on the go when you lower the screen resolution, the screen is too thin and I hope no burns will be made in futur, and again Gigabyte pls add an ANTI GLARE to this beautiful screen that made your laptop sell overseas even with bad support and warranty.
- The Fans gets very loud at the gaming mode, Quit mode is ok but not well optimized for medium and heavy tasking and instead you should use the normal mode that will kicks the fans permanently, the Turbo mode makes me think that the fans will blow up from the chassis so i don't use it. You have also a custom mode too for those who likes to fully customize their profils.
-Bad quality nose Webcam with a manual switch, but at least got one if needed, TouchPad and keyboard are average but not ones of the bests out there. Aero logo can't be switched off and you can't change it's color.
- The top body is made from aluminum and the bottom and keyboard deck from hard plastic but solid materials over all. It attracts easily fingerprints and has a black matt finish that can be easily scratched specially on the top aluminum materials, the laptop is slim for the specs but it is a bit heavy in same time and that's expected, but and there is a Big BUT, the hinges makes me think twice because the screen does wobble most than any laptop I used in the past, and that's due to the weight of the screen and the small hinges that support it. So those who move a lot in their work space and work on the go between spaces then you should think twice before you buy this laptop, but for my use it can be acceptable and no problem when typing at a flat surface because the hinges are not loose, but just small to support the aluminum panel.
- Ports: the pros of this aero, it got the last gen Ports, 4th gen thunderbolt that support 100w and above, 2.1 hdmi, 4th gen sdd, that's a nice thing that crashes the competition at this price but hey gigabyte please I understand that you got a special design and you can't put the Ports on the back side, so at least put the thunderbolt, and power charging ports on the left of the laptop with hdmi and 1.4 port.
- Components: 11800h i7 is ok but it can get hot.
Rtx 3060 mobile mixed at 105w but I never touched this value until today, it was 80w tgp max, so please gigabyte make it at least 115w tgp in the next bios updates. The ssd is fast but 1Tb will be much appreciated because 512gb is nothing now days specially for a 4k creator work station laptop hybrid to a gaming one, Ram dual channel 8gb, wifi crashes sometimes but I think it's due to my old router and not the wifi card because when I transform my phone to a mobile hotspot, no crashes were seen until now.
I'll be updating this if needed OR if the rtx 3060 i7 11800h aero laptop acts differently.
Sorry if i was long in my text and sorry about the mistakes too, but the details always matters.

It's light and the screen is beautiful.
The camera is on the bottom of the screen which kinda looks up your nose, so beware of that if it's important.
Overall a great purchase, especially if you can catch it on sale!

Singapore Gigabyte/Aorus did not accept the warranty, when I registered, they replied, thank you for registering your product, warrantee expiry date the same date as the product purchase date. Well, I was disappointed.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase. And AI fan control does what it wants, ignores what you set, even when you disable it. But you need annoyances to love it.
