I considered returning these at first listen but now am a big fan. When I first unboxed them I had been listening to Spotify in my car so thought since they are bluetooth I'd just pick up where I left off and try them out. The bass overpowered the mix and I was really disappointed. I rolled off the low end in eq and bumped the mids up a bit and then liked them but wasn't completely sold. However, I did a long session last night with a better source (Tidal) and now I am a big fan. The bass is strong, but it held together in the mix and was what I would consider a lively but pleasant overall sound.
Compared to other IEMs I own I can see myself preferring these in most use cases. First off, for on-the-go use they are a no-brainer. For home use, I still see myself grabbing these way more often than getting out an amp and fiddling with wires. I'll still use headphones with an amp for serious listening, but as far as earbuds/IEMs go I'm sold.
Comfort is outstanding. The nozzles are long enough to use silicone instead of foam and not get that feeling like they are going to fall out. Isolation was more than adequate. I may have won the lottery for them matching my ears but they were more comfortable than any other IEMs I own. The lack of wires likely contributes to that, but they also didn't have any hot spots on my ears.
I also love the wireless charging and simple industrial design.
I've tried other bluetooth products before and was always disappointed, excited that the technology is finally here to make someone like me who is ridiculously picky about their audio gear happy with wireless.
Update: I've found that I've been listening to way more music after buying these, the convenience factor is amazing. Still loving the sound too.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but in A/B testing with a few combos I actually enjoyed these more for casual listening than my Sennheiser 650s with a Mojo. The boosted sub bass was a little annoying in a few songs but somehow the mids, while recessed a bit comparatively, were clearer and better resolved (over bluetooth!). My impression is that these are tuned to the "youthful" Harman curve, with a few extra decibels of sub-bass. I have a set of studio monitors that are sat/sub, and I’d explain the sound as similar to having the subwoofer turned up a bit too loud. If my monitors sounded like this I’d break out a decibel meter and run frequency sweeps because I’d know the subwoofer needed adjustment. It’s not unpleasant generally speaking, just boosted. The Senns have the opposite problem of lacking a bit in sub-bass, but I preferred these for just casually hopping through a few tracks. Ideally Grado would have an app with an eq to tamp it down a bit.
One note, pay attention to the "twist to lock" feature and make sure these are properly inserted and aligned. I've found that if being lazy putting them in they can sound hollow, with some frequencies lacking and others accentuated.
When I listened to the GT220, I understood why there wasn't a need for an app. The sound is excellent all the way around. Great separation, great clarity, great detail, great presence. Like being there. Tuned for all types of music. No ANC, but the fit of the buds is so complete (I immediately popped in the stock tips without a problem), the outside can't really be heard. Haven't been on a train or bus with them, but they are naturally isolating.
Now, I've listened to the Sennheisers TWC momentum 2, and they are excellent in their own right. Warmer than the Grados which are more neutral. These are both excellent sets of buds. Differing sound. One is not better than the other. The Grados are instantly louder and more powerful than the Sennheisers which is to their advantage. Otherwise, it's hard to choose one over the other. Both are quite satisfying to say the least. I also tried the Technics AZ70 which are great sounding as well. Very, very nearly on a par with the Sennheisers when using the right tips. The Grados, however, are quite unique in their sound personality. Grados over AZ70.
I don't use the Grados for calls, so I can't make a statement about their call quality. What I can tell you is that this is a set of buds that you definitely don't want to miss. The sound is astoundingly great. Equal to over the ears, and easier to wear. They are plainly and simply among the very top buds out there. Pricey, but it depends on what your looking for in earbuds. For me, they are keepers.
1-31-21 Compared these with the Bose QC buds. These have a noticeably more present sound, and a simpler fit. To me, simple is just fine. For sound quality, these are the best out there.
4-25-21 The Grado GT220 are the best sounding wireless buds on the market. Better than the Sennheisers. They simply can't be beat. Final verdict
3-19-22 For great audio, these continue to be my go to pair of TWS. Sound continues to be the best, and lack of ANC is just not an issue here. A proper seal with these really does the job.

Do not be discouraged by the lac of ANC, the passive noise isolation of these is really good because they enter more in depth than other models.
Touch controls also very responsive, better than the Sony for sure.
I could not care less of the flashing lights mentioned by some reviews as I do not even see them.
A great buy for whoever values sound quality over everything else.
