This watch does all of that and more. The battery life is a significant pro of this watch. I charge it every week and a half, and have had it last up to 2.5 weeks on a single charge! I wear it while working, and it's gotten wedged between rocks during masonry construction, covered in mud, sprayed with saw dust. You name it, this watch has been through it. It's rugged and reliable.
I love the body battery aspect of this watch. It's a game changer with my super active lifestyle, and the reminders to take a rest day are super helpful when I'm constantly on the go. I used this watch on a 213 mile thru hike of the John Muir Trail in California. While I didn't track the entire journey to save battery, it lasted the whole time!
Another amazing feature is how your step goal adjusts to your baseline activity. When I'm sick and in bed, it picks up on my change in activity and automatically adjusts, making me feel a LOT less guilty. When I'm hiking 5-15 miles a day for work or enjoyment, my step goal finds a reasonable average to set as my goal.
My only complaint is that the sleep tracker isn't super accurate. I'll have nights where I’m tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep, and my watch will tell me I slept for 9 hours when in reality I probably slept for 6. When I'm in bed scrolling on my phone, it also thinks I'm asleep. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to a newer model, but for right now this watch matches all of my needs.
Highly recommended for folks who are active, rugged, and often away from electricity for long periods of time!
The sleep monitor feature is as accurate as it can be I think. You have to wear your watch for 2-3 hours before sleeping for it to get a baseline. It has helped me to see results from not using phone/tablet/TV in hours before bed and cutting out caffeine (iced tea) after 3 PM. The Garmin Connect phone app is very nice - full featured and I refer to it each day.
I wear mine all the time - only have to charge it once a week or so, and it takes about 1-2 hours max to get to full charge. I charge it while I am taking a shower and getting ready to start the day. Charging does not interfere with my schedule at all.
Another plus: as I have worked into my workout programs, I am seeing my heart rate drop from resting 88 to resting 78. How accurate is it? Shrug... but the relative drop is significant I believe. Lower resting rate = better shape, which is my goal. I can slow down on the stairmaster when HR goes above my max - it vibrates on my arm with message "high heart rate alert" - Nice. Also, LOL, it does tell me every two hours to MOVE if it senses I'm reading or sedentary. Funny story: it said move, I walked around house for 20 minutes and actually got a GPS printout of my living room! LOL
It does give me the option to add custom workouts but I have not used that feature yet. I am still a little bit intimidated by how powerful the watch is.
One weird thing: sometimes weightlifting is reading my arm movements as steps. Walked 8000+ steps according to watch but I know I did NOT walk that many. I did, however, spend over 75 minutes in weightroom doing chest/arm/back/free weights. This is a known issue if you google it. Not sure how to interpret?....
All in all, this watch is pretty darn cool, very helpful and I am glad I got it as it has helped me see trends that are reinforcing my hard work.

Good purchase.
Now it has been over a year with the replacement that Garmin sent and I really like the watch. I have had no issues and I enjoy using it. Easy to set up and take anywhere. Nice color selection.

I am writing this review after 4 months of usage. I bought this watch for 21,840 ₹, the price in India right now would have increased because of higher tariffs.
I use this watch primarily to track my runs/jogs. The watch is capable of tracking a coterie of activities like running, swimming, cycling, rafting etc. It gives you information on how much time was spent on the activities, calories burnt & the distance covered. It also has a real time heart rate monitor. I cannot speak of its accuracy as I haven't had a benchmark to compare it with. The watch also tracks your sleep. The watch also looks sporty and fashionable, if you dig that sort of thing. I got it in Seafoam rubber blue.
The watch is supposed to be used in conjunction with the Garmin Connect app on your Android/iPhone. The app is easy to use and provides a lot of detailed stats that would be of interest to you, sleep time, stress levels etc. Again, the accuracy is difficult to ascertain as I don't have a baseline. You are supposed to connect the watch with the app via Bluetooth and it works flawlessly everytime and takes a minute to sync a days worth of data. The more activities you have, the more time it takes to sync.
It's made out of a material which is sweat resistant unlike leather. You do need to wash the watch after a workout to remove the sweat. The watch is waterproof up to a certain depth and I wash it daily with tap water and have faced zero issues.
I did face an issue wherein I had to factory reset the watch once because the watch screen was constantly changing. In my four months of usage that only happened once so it didn't bother me that much.
I have hit the watch accidentally on hard surfaces quite a few times and the watch is built like a tank, so no damage at all.
I only have to charge the watch once a week and it lasts for that duration easily. I use it for 1.5 hours to track activities everyday. I presume most of the battery is expended because of GPS usage.
I don't use this watch as a smart watch and I don't think it is meant for that. Although you can keep it synced to your phone, I choose not to do that because of privacy concerns.
Overall, I higly recommend this watch as a full fledged activity tracker. I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for a smart watch although it could be used as one.
