    What can I say about this watch, it does everything that the fenix was able to do but with the better screen. Battery life is almost as good. Getting about 2 weeks with every feature turned on and about 4 hours of GPS usage weekly. The morning report is the best feature on the Garmin watches letting you know how your body is doing before you train. The watch is durable and tough. And it's even better paired with the chest strap for weightlifting exercises. I have owned a fenix 3. Fenix 5 and vivoactive 3 several other Garmin running watches and this one tops it.

    I have a 6.2” wrist so was a bit worried about this size of this - no problems at all comfort or fit wise - I love it!! It’s not a subtle size - but I got a few brightly colored bands to change out and make it a statement watch. I’ve worn it running, biking, to professional work presentations, no problems. The battery life is amazing - I don’t even have to bring the charger vacations. Got used to sleeping with it in just a couple days despite not ever wearing a watch to bed previously, and love the metrics: the sleep score - the recommended workouts and body battery. So many awesome features and the screen clarity is amazing. I got this upgrading from my beloved 645-and have been wearing Garmin’s since I think 2006. Their tech keeps improving and data privacy is solid!

    I have every Apple Watch and most Garmin watches but this is the best watch I have ever owned. Apple Watches are nice but hard to read and they only last a day and half per charge (the Ultra). Most Garmin watches are had to use and hard to see. I have bought the Fenix 5, 6 solar titanium, Foreruinner and others. None of them compare to the Epic Gen 2. The Amoled screen is the best on the market. Easy to see even in bright sunlight. Touch screen works better than any watch I have owned. It is very easy to use (most Garmin are hard to use and see). It doesn’t have fall protection or phone calling like the Apple but I never used those anyway. And did I mention that it goes 15 days on a singe charge. LET ME REPEAT THAT 15 DAYS ON A SINGLE CHARGE. This is the watch Apple should have made. Every watch should have an Amoled Sceen PERIOD!!!!!! This is the only watch I will need for a long time. Highly Recommend! PS gave my Apple Ultra to my brother.

    This is proper piece of technology. Well designed. Does what its meant to do.
    The battery life is slightly shorter than what the Fenix 7 would offer. However, that is only due to the much better screen type. It still will outlast an Apple watch 16 times over. So its not really an issue.

    This is not fashion watch, it is big and robust.

    I would recommend a 39 mm screen protector for the standard Epix gen 2. Also, the cover/case like one would use on a smartphone is a must, it preserve the condition. The Fenix 7 cover will fit.

    Start out trying to use just a few features and work your way to adding more of the many many features this watch offers. Well thought out design and very good features and build quality. Probably the best brand value out there. There are other brands, just not quite as good build quality and feature comprehensive as Garmin. Close maybe but not on same level.

    It is a good smart watch. I get 11 days per charge. It is a bit large and I have an issue wearing button shirts with it. I feel there is probably something just as good that is smaller. But this is a watch with a lot of features and not too hard to use. Y tube is your friend on this one.

    Have been using Garmin devicdes for 10+ years. Most recently Fenix 5 and then 6x. Big problem/issue I had with the Fenix watches was the display and ability to read with my not so good near vision. DC Rainmaker had a great in-depth review on the difference between the new Fenix 7 and the Epix. I took a chance and did what some might think is downgrade choosing to buy the Epix instead of the new Fenix 7. After a week of use, I could not be happier. Everything about it is better than the Fenix 6x, IMO. Truly amazing how improved the display is. It's bright and clear with no glare. I have had no issues reading it in all light conditions with no glasses required. Another HUGE plus is the HR monitor so far seems to be very accurate. On the Fenix and an earlier Forerunner watch with ability to track HR via wrist, I had many many times where it showed unrealistic and inaccurate HR level. Happy to say Garmin has figured it out with the new Epix (and likely the new Fenix 7 too). I hate wearing HR chest strap. Now can finally do serious training with watch only. Last thing I'll mention is using the device and navigating between screens much faster and the touch screen works great too. All in all, Epix has far exceeded my expectations and I'm happy camper (runner actually).

    Great watch when used with simple functionality. Does not hold a charge, constantly goes dark, impossible to reset. Overall this watch is not consistent, and a waste of money. No Bluetooth connected, literally the most basic ask of the watch. I have used the GPS function to get me out of the mtns a couple times, but even then, it randomly shuts down and I have to rely upon my actually Garmin GPS. Spend your money elsewhere for a paper weight. Completely Unreliable

    The bezel doesn't seem quite as rugged as the one on my outgoing Fenix 5X Sapphire, but it is holding up to a couple knocks with only 1 minor scuff. The display is clear and bright and I'm able to read most of the info on my screen of choice with my failing short range eyesight. The watch tracks running, and cycling well so far - I haven't tested it for swimming....and it doesn't have a hockey activity (I suppose Garmin assumes that nobody is playing hockey in a $1000+ watch). The sleep tracking is pretty detailed - although it sometimes records me being awake when I am not. This could be due to a very low overnight resting HR (high 30's to low 40's). I'm really looking forward to getting this watch out on the golf course in the spring and using some of the advanced golf features. All in all very please with the purchase so far.

    Very unsatisfied with the product, it definitely doesn’t worth the price! Returned it 21 days ago and still haven’t received the money back!! Also unsatisfied with the amazon customer service. I do not understand why the return process can take up to 40 business days. For a ~$1000 purchase on amazon which btw the product description was way off, I had to return the item and my credit card balance still be there, and I have to pay the interest until this very irrational return processing time get complete!! It seems all that is matter is emptying customer’s pockets and in most of the cases not providing valuable services.
