Great Christmas gift for Dad
An all around great game. I bought myself a switch a few months ago, and found that my dad was interested trying it out. He had never played any sort of video game before, so when I bought this game for him, I was a little worried that it would be too complicated for him. The controls on this game are straightforward, and it offers a very helpful and engaging tutorial at the start. The physical game does require a download however, which is something to be aware of. Graphics are great and controls precise. I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who is interested in both golf and switch games!

I'm greatful Pga tour came back to Nintendo this year...it's so great. This game in general is a blast to play not only because of the portability for the Switch version but is all around something any golf fan would want on Nintendo. The return of create your own golf course feature is awesome by itself and i hope some of the created courses from golf club 2019 come into this game. I haven't gotten very far in it yet but the graphics are amazing. Only thing missing the motion controled swinging which is a really big miss for Nintendo as Pga tour on Wii was incredible for that but other then that i say game is a must have for Nintendo golf fans.

Update: After playing it more i'm finding the swing controls are harder to master but i'll get the hang of it eventually. This won't stop me from playing

This is lots of fun to play high level courses. The challenge level really goes up with difficulty settings, and it doesn't take too long to learn the controls. Great winter game when you can't get on the course.

Downsides: there could be fans in the game, the delay while it asks every time you open it to link to your account is a little annoying, and local multi-player could be better. As it is everyone who plays has to play as my wife's person since that's the first guest. Would be nice to play with multiple accounts.

I have been playing golf video games ever since I was a kid and dad bought us an old Tandy computer from Radio Shack. I used to play the old Tiger Woods golf franchise from EA Sports until my kids were born and my game systems got put away. So I was happy to see PGA 2K released for Switch so I could play on my kids consoles.

The basic game play was what I was use to from the old Tiger Woods golf and the core components of the game are good. Some of the loads are slow and I have been experiencing crashes between rounds with regularity usually when I make a change to my player like the clubs in his bag or clothing. The TPC courses are accurate and have strong graphics.

Most of my complaints are lack of detail. For example, there is no crowd noise when you make a long birdie or eagle putt. No fans in the stands around the holes. No special celebration after a player wins a tournament. The career mode doesn't have much to it beyond the playing the events for qualifying for the PGA tour and then the actual PGA tour events. There are no story lines that accompany career mode like in other 2K career modes like NBA 2K. And the announcers commentary is very, very limited even (I understand that is most games).

Its a nice start but needs some more work. Overall its a fun game for video game golf fan like myself. I will likely keep playing but I can see the game getting old pretty quick
