For most users this is a great little economy docking station, and works with daisy-chained USB hubs unlike a more expensive Anker I tried first (and the hub used was one of theirs, no less!) and has enough bandwidth for most peripherals, including simultaneous use of a monitor and, wired microphone, and a 1080p capture card. Per the manufacturer (I had to email support for this information) the integrated cable is a 5Gbps bandwidth, which would make it a USB 3.1 Gen 1 spec. This is important to know in case you make use of any extension cables between the dock and the laptop so you avoid bottlenecking. There are a lot of inexpensive docks on the market now that are 3.1 Gen 2 but their standards compliance is often questionable and good luck if you need support. I've been using this one for years now without a single complaint.
As a note: If you have trouble getting a printer to respond through it, be aware that some USB-A 2.0 devices do require the USB-C cable to be in a certain orientation to communicate properly. This is a universal USB-A/USB-C issue, not a manufacturer problem or defect. Just flip the orientation of the plug and you should be good.

I use it in combination with "MoKo USB C 90 Degree Adapter Kit 240W, Right Angle USB C Female to USB C Male Adapter Extender Thunderbolt 4/3, 90 Degree USB-C Connector 40Gbps for Steam Deck/ROG Ally/Quest/iPad/iPhone 15 Series" to connect to my Legion GO. It allows me to plug in power, monitor, keyboard & mouse, so that I can use it like it's a mini PC.The only down side is it doesn't work with the HDMI slim cables you have to plug in regular HDMI cables which is a shame as I really like the lightweight HDMI slim cables. I suggest you look at the manufactures (plugable) web site before buying to see their notes on HDMI compatibility as there are some limitations.

The only down side is it doesn't work with the HDMI slim cables you have to plug in regular HDMI cables which is a shame as I really like the lightweight HDMI slim cables. I suggest you look at the manufactures (plugable) web site before buying to see their notes on HDMI compatibility as there are some limitations.
