If you love your iPhone an IPad and were on the fence about a Mac..DO NOT STOP - GO STRAIGHT TO GO. I'll admit it, I was hesitant to buy a Mac due to the huge price difference v. PC. However, after so many disappointing PCs, I knew it was just a matter of time. I also am lucky enough to live near two Apple Stores (Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale) so I figured I would go in and check different models and buy it there (they are all the same price anywhere)...
Then Meg Whitman from HP came out and fully supported Hillary and said she and all her friends of HP would put their time and money to defeat Trump. Now let me say, I am a "Never Trumper" and Apple is no real friend of Trump. That said, when I saw that HP was all in AGAINST Trump, it pushed me over the edge. I decided to get my Mac now that a new HP was off the table. Of course, I love Amazon (and I know I know - who owns Wash Post) but one protest is enough:) so I took a look at what they had to offer. Well, low and behold they had the one I wanted, it was less money (not by much) and I bought it (through Apple on Amazon). They even had a special for the Microsoft Office for Mac so I got that too.
It came the next day (I paid a nominal fee for next day vs free 2-day), took it out the box, turned it on AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK. It is so easy and light and the battery lost forever. I think the only thing I would invest in is Retina next time. The screen looks good but the Retina is the bomb and if you are going to watch a lot of videos, you may want to get a model with Retina. I suspect I will be getting another Mac soon anyway. LOVE THIS.

Love my Apple products!!
This is my review of the Apple MMGF2LL/A MacBook Air 13.3-Inch Laptop (8GB RAM 128 GB SSD) MMGF2.There isn't much I can say about this computer. I had a MacBook Pro back in 2009 that got water damage and I just had the hard drive transferred over to this brand new one (I was able to salvage photos!) and before that I had an Apple G4 when I first started in college. I've always loved Apple computers.My mother, who was never tech savvy and kept her Motorola Razr phone for yearsssss past when it should have been thrown away, even loves the Apple computers. She got one after seeing my first one and now she is absolutely in love. She's had them for years now also.If you aren't already an Apple user, do the research or ask an expert to make sure they are right for you. For me, they've always been super user-friendly. If you are an Apple user, check out the specs and see which one is right for you. In the past I have purchased a previous generation Macbook Pro and was happy with it until I subsequently sold it. When back in the market for a laptop , Apple was my go-to , and after hearing about some issues with macbook pro retina displays, I opted for the Macbook Air, and I was not disappointed. It out performs my previous Macbook Pro (2013) and the battery life is killer. I realized I really do not have a need for the disk drive so no love lost here. You won't be disappointed with this laptop for either school , or work.
EDIT: my first macbook air that came from amazon had a very noticeable dent on the bottom side (possibly from impact with a tool or robot during packaging, after passing quality inspection) I went ahead and replaced it and the next one that came did not have this same dent, just FYI
