Super Cool Solid Speaker Sounds Good 😎👍🎼
Pretty sweet. 😎👍 When they say built like a tank they weren't kidding. Solid construction has a little weight to it. Quality materials and build. Button press is good backdoor flap is tight no worries about it accidentally getting open. Nice handle with rubberized texture on the bottom.Sound quality is NICE. Clear crisp with loads of bass. It sounds good. Here's something interesting though. I put it in LFM and it sounded like the bass got turned down. 🤔 its suppose to be the other way around. The highs are crisp the mids are clear and the bass is thumpy and boomy depending on what you're listening too and the volume you're at. It's good. Plenty loud indoors and loud enough outdoors as long as you're within a sensible distance. The bluetooth connects quick n easy to my phone but is having difficulty with my BT transmitter. 🤔 Battery charging takes a few hours. The one thing I am worried about in a portable is the exposed radiators. May rig some speaker grills.Is this worth $450? ... Its a steep price. I think $300 is a better price point. This whole thing is waterproof it floats and it has a long battery life. 😎I like it and if they come out with a Boombox 2 that's a little bigger n better I'm all over it as long as the price isn't to sky high. So for around the price of a GoPro this is a sweet speaker. May pick up another bc you can hook up 100 of them with the connect + 😯 That's another thing other boomboxes can't do and from what I have seen it sounds even better when there are multiple units connected. And if you want deeper bass out of this thing put it in low frequency mode. 🤫 Just make sure you dont go to high on the volume 😉 or you'll blow the speakers.UPDATE: So good I got another one. Decided to get the green one. They connect plus easily and fast. Sounds great. Green looks good but looks a little more plasticky 🤔. It's not as elegant looking at others have said. Still good though but I think the black probably looks best. At least I can differentiate between the two instead of having the same color. 😁

Now for this one, its expensive but you do get the jbl brand behind it, and they do stand by there products, from what ive seen atleast.
I originally bought 1, then got a second because i felt could spread the sound further in a larger outdoor setting.
Prositives
- waterproof, you do not need to worry about sitting in the rain.
- 24 hour battery life, obviously depends on volume used but half way point is probably what its based on. Have not tested.
- Can be plugged in, giving extra power. So if using in a yard, you still have option to use ac power, some speakers dont allow this.
- can be paired to apparently 100 jbl speakers using its pairing technology.
- gets loud, distortion seems almost non existent at max volume
- bass is quite good, depending on where you place. If you use on a patio, youll feel it much more then say on the ground outside. However you do still get solid bass on any surface.
- can charge 2 phones at once. 20000 mha battery makes this possible.
- extremely durable. I feel if i dropped this on any surface, they would affect it at all unless its directly on the sides.
Negatives
- does not have a equalizer, but can download apps for this, and spotify has its own. So you have the option.
- expensive, there are several much cheaper speakers, but you may not get the same batt life and waterproof with others.
- jbl app isnt great. It offers very little features and you dont need it.
- cant turn off speakers from phone or app, have to physically turn them off. No biggie but some people may not like this.
Overall the sound qualityis good. Is it the best ? Definitely not. It is however much better then alot ive heard being bluetooth and portable. Very respectful sound and most people will not notice quality. This takes a true audiophile to pick the differences. I cant comment on the boombox 2, but i went with this one due to cost and larger battery. Indoor and outdoor mode and so on. The difference maybe marginal at best. Make or break may be boombox 2 has newer connectivity tech so cant be paired with older speakers, including this one.
I will most likely be buying 2 more later to have 4. One for each corner of any place you take these. You wont regret these.
