    Very happy with the Optane technology, I acquired this module being a bit incredulous if I could speed up a 4tb disk and the result was amazing.The configuration process was not easy, but at the end of all the work, we got dream speeds when accessing the most frequent data stored in the traditional disk, at first I thought to put it to the system unit, but since it is a Intel SSD fast enough choose to assign this module to the secondary unit since I have a z370 motherboard.I reiterate, if a Windows 10 installation was performed under Legacy mode and on MBR partitions, it will be necessary to change the mode of partitions to GPT and from Legacy to UEFI only, this is not as simple as entering the BIOS and activating / deactivating, you must research. Without these steps the installation of the program for Optane will give an error, I say it because I pass.

    Let's make one thing clear right off the bat- this is not meant for primary storage. 32 GB won't even take care of a basic home Windows Installation at the moment. However if you need something blazing fast for say a server installation, this handles that in spades and for a very reasonable price point.

    And it's fast. Very VERY fast.

    Please be aware that if this a retrofit, then you most likely have to reinstall Windows. This is not a shortcoming of this product but of Windows. Also this is an older version of hardware.
    I reinstalled Windows 10 and this worked flawlessly on Asus motherboard with Intel CPU.
    If you use a SSD then you don't need this.

    But the performance boost was worth more than the 20 bucks I paid. Although the hassle of reinstalling Windows and all my software probably nullified that. But to be fair that is not the fault of the product itself.
    Will probably buy it again to revitalize some old laptops.

    Es un increible producto, cambio el comportamiento del disco duro ( Me refiero a los discos duros de platos los de baja velocidad), acelera la carga de informacion del disco duro, hizo que mi disco duro de baja velocidad se comporta mejor que un SSD , optane es un intermediario entre el disco duro o SSD y almacena los ulitmos 16GB utilizados,(esta accion la hace demanera desatendida, sin que debamos hacer nada, lo hace completamente debajo del sistema) Debes de leer la guia de como se configura e instalar el software, que se descarga en la pagina de intel, no debes usarlo como disco duro, cuando el sistema optane esta correctamente instalado, no es visible como unidad de disco/almacenamiento, simplemente no se ve, algo super importante es que debes hacer ingresar a la BIOS de tu equipo y cambiar la configuracion de tu administrador de disco duro a tipo RAID, si no sabes que es RAID es simplemente dividir la carga de informacion en dos o mas discos de almacenamiento y esto permite acceder a ambos discos como si fuese uno solo, lo que hace esto es dividir toda informacion , pero en realidad preriza la informacion al disco SSD de optane y despues cuando esta ya no es requerida se entrega lentamente al disco duro que es mas lento , pero al hacer la lectura es como si el optane se quedara con una copia, de la primera lectura del disco duro y cualquier consulta de los ultimos 16 GB utilizados se mantienen el el SSD entregando la informacion realmente rapido, si tu equipo tiene mas de 8GB de te recomentaria comprar mejor el optane de 32GB ya que esto significa que tu equipo utilizara mas memoria de lo que el optane puede mantener de los archivos recientes. PRECAUCION si tienes la funcion de hibernar en uso, cada vez que mandes a hibernar el equipo, el sistema guardara la informacion de la RAM en el disco duro, pero esto hara que los ulitmos 16 GB de archivos recientemente utilizados, se pierdan, optante funciona muy bien, repite si las actividades que realizas, no utilizan una carga demandante de informacion del disco duro no supera los 16 GB, yo lo veo un producto maravilloso, siempre y cuando tu actividades en el equipo no supere 16 GB de lectura de archivos, es ideal para juegos, diseño, y ingenieria, pero no para edicion de video, por que por lo general la edicon de video utiliza mucho disco duro, para eso mejor usa el tamaño adecuado de disco duro como la version de 32 GB

    The setup really requires a fresh installation, I don't think you could enable Optane on a system you are already running. On top of that you do need to jump through several hoops; eg having at least 5 MB of unallocated space on your HDD - aka you need to format the drive and leave a bit free at the end, I think it also requires Win10. DEF read the user manual (which I had to look up online since there wasn't one in the box) before doing anything with this product.

    BUT, once you've got it all set up and enabled, there is a definite noticeable difference in startup speed. And as the software learns what you use most, it should only get better over time! The real benefit to this technology is that you get some of that SSD speed, but if it dies on you - you loose absolutely nothing.

    Intel optane does what it's supposed to! I popped one into a friend's prebuilt system when he complained about slowdown and it decreased his bootup times as well as increased launch speeds in the programs he uses the most. However, optane isn't a magic fix that can turn your entire hard drive into something with SSD speeds, but it will accelerate load times for things you do often like booting up, or opening your web browser. With the recent drop in the prices of SSD's, I would recommend that most of you looking at this product just buy a cheap SSD.

    Weiß nicht genau für was das ist, aber ich kann auf jeden fall sagen das sich Sachen wie spiele etc. schneller damit laden :)

    Useful for a laptop with HDD as it makes the boot and other basic operations faster. However. I recommend going for 32gb variant as only 13 GB is available on this one and majority features such as application pinning is only allowed on the 32GB variant. I myself wish to replace this for the 32GB.

    Je ne regrette pas de l'avoir acheté (32 euro) en reconditionner à l'époque couplé avec un 2 TO, la vitesse est impressionnante.

    J'ai mis mes jeux dessus, c'est bête que cette technologie a été abandonné, si vous avez de la chance essayé d'en trouver un à pas cher.
