    The headset is obviously not a premium one, it doesn't have 7.1 surround sound, rgb, or a design screaming "I'm crack at fortnite my guy". I really can't complain that much for what I paid for a used $25 headset.I bought a used pair in mid 2020 because I needed a cheap headset and still works just fine, but I actually use it for my PS4 to play WZ with the boys (that means even having the xbox adapter, I have never tried it).What I like are the cushions. The material on these have it so when you have long gaming sessions, you don't get fatigue, and don't feel your ears hot, and be too sweaty compared to headsets with leather cups. The mic is not the best, but does the job. The positioning of it was the tricky part yo figure out in order to be heard well on the chat. They have a very unique lightweight design with the circular cup design. And they look very minimal. I got my pair for like $25 and still use it to this day on my PS4, even when playing offline games.

    The Xbox One Stereo Headset offers performance and comfort at a value that is very hard to beat. Unless you're wanting to spend $80+ on ultra high end headsets, this is probably the optimal sweet spot for a good value, good performance headset.

    First, the ear muffs are very comfortable. I have large ears, but these fit over my ears quite well and are nicely padded. Yes, you'll get some of the warming effect that always goes with wearing over-the-ear headsets, so if it's warm/humid in your house, you may find yourself taking them off or moving them around on your head to occasionally let your ears breathe. But you can wear them for an hour or two without discomfort of any kind. The headband does not pinch too tightly, and the adjustable length seems adequate even for folks with larger heads like mine.

    Second, the sound quality is very good. Certainly, it sounds better than the average television speakers, and there is an appreciable improvement in situational awareness based on sound direction. Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, you definitely can tell if a sound is coming from the left or the right of you much better than you can through mono/television speakers. Is it as good as full-on high-end surround sound? Of course not, but it is adequate to give you better situational awareness in games such as Battlefield 1, where it helps to know if those footsteps (or tank track/engine sounds) you hear creeping up on you are to your right or your left.

    Third, the microphone works great. A simply "Hey Cortana"--even in a fairly low/soft spoken manner--pulls up Cortana to run a search, and when chatting with friends, they seem to hear everything fine without complaint. I also like that the mic is low-profile. It almost vanishes into the headset when retracted, and when deployed, does not wrap around to the front of your mouth like other, more obtrusive microphones. I generally play in a relatively quiet room, so I've never had complaints about the mic picking up other room noises either. It seems to lock in on my voice fine. However, if you play in a loud/noisy room with other environmental noises, I really can't say for sure how it will fare. My guess is it will be fine, though.

    Finally, the HEADSET ADAPTER IS INCLUDED with these headphones. That saves you approximately $20-25 over other low-end/mid-range headsets for which you might still need to purchase Microsoft's adapter. That made the decision easy in my mind, since most of the more affordable-seeming headsets still need that adapter, and thus, can actually cost significantly more when you consider the total cost.

    If you're looking for a solid, comfortable, reliable, good performing headset, this is a very good bet. Highly recommended.

    I bought these as somewhat of an inpulse buy because I wanted some good headphones for my XBox and would have had to buy the "puck" to plug the headphones into and the price for this was pretty good so I hit two birds with one stone with this.

    OVERVIEW:
    Boy was I surprised, the headphones sound GREAT, and the headset mic hiding away with a magnet is pretty ingenious. These things will work with cellphones as well so that's a bonus if you want to use them for everyday listening, and for over the hear headphones these things are comfortable and don't get your ears too hot, if you are like me and prone to overheating. My only complaint is that because the headband attaches near the bottom of the earphones the band looks a bit odd as it goes out wide on the side of your head (only a concern if you use them in public.

    The puck is great too, in addition to a general volume it has a balance between chat and game audio so you can adjust those to your preference. I'm also very happy that they went with a puck in general, because having a mute somewhere reachable without taking your hand off the controller is much better than having to grope for the inline connector when you feel a sneeze coming on.

    SOUND QUALITY:
    Like I said these things sound great, Bass is a little overdone, but is about inline with Beats, the mids could be brighter and highs are crisp, overall pretty on par with the high end Beats in every way. There isn't any active noise cancelling because these are unpowered, but it passively blocks out a good 85% of all sound, so don't expect to hear anyone talking to you especially if you're "bumping the jams".

    My only real complaint in sound and it is super minor, is that there is a bit of a hiss when navigating the homescreen on the XBox One, and the range is only about 20 feet max.

    In addition to that the mic sounds great, I used them on my PC (after buying a splitter to separate the headphones and mic plugs) and everyone said I was crystal clear. Also because the mic is about 2.5 inches long it doesn't extend in front of your face so you don't get any mouth or nose breathing on the mic.

    Overall this is fantastic, especially considering the price, if you need a good sounding pair of headphones with or without a mic for gaming, PC or for XBox, this is THE BEST value period.

    Great set of headphones so far. I've only been using them for a few days but these are awesome (my fiancé agrees, she doesn't have to hear my late night call of duty sessions anymore).

    Unpackaging: When I received the package, right away I was impressed. Microsoft's new packaging is very clean and sleek. The box includes the headphones, a Microsoft adapter ($25 value if purchased separately) and a USB wire. You have to update the new controllers so the USB wire can be used to plug the controller into the Xbox to update it or you can do it wirelessly through the settings page of your Xbox. After you update the controller, you plug the adapter into it and plug the headphones into the adapter, it's that easy. I've read some people complain that the adapter is kind of confusing to control the game/chat volume, it's actually very easy. Everything is set at 50/50 and 50% volume out of the box. I don't like game chat so you click the button with a controller on it until you hear a beep which means 100% game volume, hit the mute mic button and then +/- is volume up/down (pretty self explanatory). The headphones themselves are well made, they don't feel like a set of $60 headphones, so the value for these are great.

    Comfort: The headphones have a nice fabric material on the ear pads and they are in fact over the ear. They are VERY comfortable! This was my main concern, even though I am a casual gamer, I do end up gaming for about 2 hours at a time when I play. I had no discomfort from the headphones on my head after 2 hours of gaming. My ears did start to get warm towards the end of playing however I have had this happen with premium over the ear headphones (beats, bose, sennheiser, etc.) so I think that's just the norm for over the ear technology since they are essentially like wearing ear muffs indoors.

    Sound: It's important to know that these are stereo headphones, not true surround sound, so if you're looking for a true 5.1 surround sound set of headphones these are not for you. You would have to spend a lot more for surround sound gaming headphones. With that said these sound very good. I am not an audiophile so I'm not going to get very technical, but these sounded great while I was playing black ops 3. The bass is very nice and even though they're not true surround sound, you are still able to hear little things in the background I wouldn't normally hear while using my stereo equipment since I don't turn it up to much so I don't bother my fiancée. At full volume they are even a bit too loud for me, I think I would get a headache playing for a long time, but they are not deafening at full volume, that's just my personal preference. I don't have any friends with a headset so I didn't try gaming with some game chat going so I can't comment on the voice chat features of these headphones, but the mic on these is very sleek and it easily folds back up into the heapdhones.

    Overall, I wanted an inexpensive set of gaming headphones that were comfortable and sounded good for my late night gaming sessions. The headphone's exceeded my expectations and I would recommend these over the more expensive stereo turtle beach headphones because of the price if all you want is what I wanted.

I have had a Logitech gaming headset, a Microsoft PC headset, a Coloud one for my phone which served good enough for gaming and have also used a couple of Sony headsets. But this is just a class apart. First of all, it cushions your ears and gives a sense of comfort, and if you have small ears you would find your ears completely encompassed by the cushion. Not a bad thing, pretty comfortable in fact.

    Next is the microphone. The mic is so subtly placed that you don't even understand it is there unless you have a really keen eye or you already know. And the way it comes out and its flexibility make it perfect for physical use. Also, the mic accuracy is pretty accurate so it you don't really need to stick it in your mouth unlike some other microphones.

    The sound is beautiful and although it is not a 5.1 headset, the impression it creates for 3-D sounds is amazing and I could almost always detect enemies while playing games like Tomb Raider 2013 and Halo: MCC. This is one thing you should have if you have an Xbox One!

    Buen producto. Llegó en perfecto estado y antes de tiempo. Lo conecté a un accesorio que yo tenía, un chatpad que funcionó bien a la primera como plug and play.

    Lo que me gusta es que me deja tener el sonido del juego y chat en la diadema además de tener el sonido del juego con bocinas y sub woffer. Cuando juego de noche y todos se duermen apago las bocinas y tengo el control en el accesorio de la diadema para manejar el volumen del juego separado del volumen del chat. Es muy útil

    Leí unos comentarios que la parte débil de esta diadema es el cable cerca de la entrada de 3.5mm, y sí se ve algo débil, por lo que añadí un nudo al mismo cable para evitar el desgarre del mismo causado por el uso
