Most bestest, awesomest monitor I've ever seen!
I want to start by making it known that this is my first review of any product I've purchased through Amazon. This monitor is AMAZING. Far exceeded any of my expectations. Granted I did come from a cheaper 1080p 75hz monitor. This is my first UW.I read a lot of reviews for different monitors before deciding on this one. I was going to go with the AW because of the QC and warranty I've read about. If I had problems with this one. But I can happily say that if you are on the fence and thinking about purchasing this one. DO IT! Maybe I'm just lucky and received a good one on the first shot. But if you do get a good one it's one of the best monitors I've seen.I am running a Ryzen 7 2700x paired with GTX 1080 ti OC. I'm getting anywhere from 80fps to 120fps depending on the title in high to ultra settings. If I had just a couple complaints it would mostly be objective. It does have a little bit of ips glow but marginal and something I accepted before purchasing an IPS panel. And its MASSIVE. I will also say that I was a little bummed out upon first setting it up. Thought I had a few dead pixels that literally just ended up being tiny pieces of styrofoam.... lol.Beautiful monitor at a pretty price tag. But well worth it if you get a good one. Easy to navigate. 120 fps oc is very easy to do. Clr and contrast is pretty perfect. Get it. I dont think you'll be disappointed. Just thought it was worth writing a review. Also, just to those who have been having problems with scan lines or flickering. I know this is kind of a given to some. But in case you dont know. When you change the refresh rate of the monitor and overclock to 120hz. Make sure to go into nvidia settings and change that to match. I had some scan lines top left after OC to 120. Had to change nvidia to match and boom! Smooth as butter!

Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2018
I bought the first X34 in 2016 for $1399. At the time it was the best gaming monitor out there, and it worked flawlessly for me for over 2 years. It hit 100hz, and worked every day without a hitch. No dead pixels, no light bleed. Fantastic. This is why I trust acer and bought yet another acer product. I played a lot of single player games like tomb raider, farcry, assassin's creed, mass effect, GTA, too many to count. The experience was PHENOMENAL!!!!

HOWEVER... I got back into shooter games like PUBG, COD, and Counterstrike... and 100hz just wasn't cutting it. So I bought a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546. That is a fantastic monitor for what it does (240hz is sooooooo nice) but when I saw this new X34 was out and on sale (got mine for 899) I couldn't help myself. I upgraded to this new one and WOW, what a shock. Puts the old version to shame and just what I needed to make the x34 an awesome ALL-AROUND monitor that shines in literally every game I play on it.

The curve is more extreme than the old X34 (which I hated at first and now love too much for words) and the extra 20hz refresh rate really makes all the difference. Now I'm playing CS:GO, PUBG, and COD on the x34 (something I didn't like to do before because 100hz was too jittery) and the action feels nice and smooth. I'm back winning games of PUBG with 10+ kills and boy does this monitor look as good as it feels while I'm doing it. The detail and immersion is unlike anything else on the market. If you have a powerful gaming PC and haven't experienced ultrawide QHD gaming yet, BUY THIS. You will not regret it.

I know the X35 is coming (the new 200hz version of this) but A) It's not IPS B) there is no release date and they teased it over 18 months ago and there is still no update C) It's going to be $1500+ D) Realistically I don't think any computer out there will be able to push much above 120fps at 3440x1440 in most games for quite a while. I currently have an 8086k and a watercooled 1080ti and barely reach 120fps in most modern titles with the graphics on medium-high at this resolution (save Counterstrike, which I get 300fps easy). I have a 2080ti on the way so that will give me a boost but honestly, for half the price of the upcoming x35 I feel like this monitor is a steal. 120hz is enough to be competitive in my opinion. 240 is nice, but 120 cuts it just fine.

So in a year or two, I'll upgrade graphics cards again to something that can actually run 3440x1440 at 200 FPS, and then I'll buy the x35 once the price has dropped down below $1k. Until then though, this monitor is too good to put into words. Believe me guys, you really just can't believe it until you see it. This thing will (literally) open your eyes to a whole new world of gaming goodness that you didn't even know existed.

I have been looking for an ultrawide for a while and was very torn between this and the Alienware AW3418DW. Ultimately it came down to how the panel looked aesthetically. For those who do not know, both this monitor and the AW3418DW are LG panels. Meaning that the screen internals are from LG. Dell and Acer simply purchased the screens from LG and put it into their own hardware. Knowing this I had the decision of "the King of Ultrawides" being the AW3418DW or the less popular X34P. Most of the comparisons I found online, while doing my research, were between the AW3418DW and the X34 (the older model at 60hz native rather than 100hz). After much delibaration I came to the conclusion to buy this one because I knew if I bought the Alienware I'd be paying a premium for the name. I have to say I'm really glad I did. Maybe I was lucky but my panel has virtually no back light bleed, over clocks to 120hz with zero flickering, and feels, overall, just high quality. The colors are vibrant and rich and adds a certain depth to my gaming experience that I just haven't had before. I'm completely blown away. I've seen a few mentions here and on forums about potential issues but I took the plunge any ways because I'm a firm believer in "people are quick to complain when there's an issue, but slow to pay homage when every thing works as expected." I love this monitor. I'm completely floored by Acer's quality and am proud to say they have just gained a loyal customer. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

SWITCH to an ultrawide and u wont look back again. EVER. PERIOD
with plethora of ultrawides available,Acer predator holds a sweetspot for money and performance. comes with gsync which is helpful if u own a Nvidia gpu (gtx1080ti or above). u need seious horspower out of ur pc to get qhd resolution with frame rates above 60fps.
    pros
    1. ultrawide 34inches 21:9 aspect ratio: increases ur filed of view in games, extra screen space for ur productivity, and most movies are shot in this aspect ratio, will give u a cinema like pleasure which can b uplifted even more with ambient lights
    2. 100hz standard refresh rate and can go upto 120hz (a big jump for people like me who were used to playing a 50-60fps)
    3. ips panel- great colour accuracy, 4MS RESPONSE TIME time gr8 for fps shooters
    4. Nvidia gsync for tear free ultrasmooth gaming
    5. 4usb 3.0ports for connecting all ur peripherals and obviously comes with hdmi and displayport(necessary for g sync, gsync wont work on hdmi)
    6. height adjustment, swivel and tilt available
    7. sturdy brushed metal stand
    8. matte finished back, so its classy and does not catch fingerprints as a glossy surface do.
    9. led lights for that ambient look
    10. comes with joystick behind the monitor to easily toggle bw OSD functions and 3 dedicated keys customisable to brightness, mode etc
    11. bezellLESS design(almost: there is a thin bezzel present on the sides but with one screen setup its hardly noticed)and minimalist predator logo to keep it classy and gorgeous
    12. decent inbuilt speakers with moderate bass( as far as inbuilt monitor speakers are concerned)
    13. last but not the least its CURVED: 1900R is moRE Pronounced than its predecessors with 3800R. in short the wrap around feel and imerrsiveness taken to new levels

    cons.
    1. large stand so need u r gna need a bigger desk
    2. need a seriously powerful pc to match the output of this monitor
    3. lil pricey but considering the cost of ASUS ROG pg34 which is around 1.4laks its a pretty gr8 monitor

after 10months of extensive use for gaming i can say that this is the best montior i have had till date. gaming has never been better
ultrawide is a marvelous experience which can only b appreciated in person. no amount of reviews or youtube videos will ever come close to experiencing one in front of u. so if u can explore an ultrawide at a local store go for it. but if not and you can afford one, dont look for more , acer predator x34p is the best there is in this price range better than its predecessors and still dominating the gaming world even after a long time post its release.

After trying 144hz VA panels, 120hz Ultrawide QHD Va panels, and also trying the Asus PG348Q the X34P Predator is by far the best of the bunch. I purchased through ALC Micro open box at a much discounted price and I couldn't be happier. No issue and like new. Recommended for the ultimate casual gamer setup! Also backlight bleed is very minimal compared to the Asus ROG PG348Q.

Quality of the monitor is top class. I played a few games with g sync on and the gameplay was very smooth. Even for general purpose operation the monitor is very smooth as the monitor has a 120 hz refresh rate. I highly recommend ultra wide monitor in stead of dual monitor setup.
