The monitor was packaged very well, arrived with no dead pixels or damage. Was a little tricky to set up, as my last monitor had the joy stick like control, but once I figured out what all the buttons did, it was pretty easy after that. The pros are as follows"1. It has an ambient light sensor on it, so it goes dark when it's night, and gets bright when it's light.(I have a lamp next to it, and that does not trigger the screen to go bright)2. For the size, 2560x1440 still looks just as good as it did on my 27" monitor.3. There is a hole in the stand, close to where the cables plug in, making it easy to hide all of your cables.4. My Xbox one x can now run up to 120hz, thanks to the freesync 2 on this baby.5. Has a USB-C port on in, which if you own any of the new cards, one cable can do it all, audio, video, and data tranfer to the two usb ports at the bottom of the monitor. (Also see cons section)Cons are as followed:1. The displayport cable, is mini dp, to dp, which most people I know don't use.(Wish it come with the normal dp, or both)2. It's hard to get to the ports on the bottom of the monitor, as the stand does not allow for height adjustment.3. The USB-C port only allows up to 120mz, with a lower transfer rate to the 2 usb ports on the bottom of the monitor, as well as it only comes with a 3' usb-c to usb-c cable, so if your wanting to use that method, you will need to buy a longer one, if your computer is not close enough to the monitor.4. It does not come with the ability to mount via vesa mount, you have to buy that separately. All in all though, with the cons not being the end of the world, this is a great monitor at both size, resolution, new features, such as usb-c, freesync 2, and this monitor also works with G-Sync. The thin bezel, and the 1800R curve, make this a top monitor in it's price range. Rather your planing on hooking up gaming systems(you will need either speakers, or a wired headset with a 3.5mm connection) or a pc, this is the monitor to get.

I bought this BenQ monitor as an upgrade over a 27" 1080p Asus IPS display. I use this primarily for gaming, both on PC and Xbox One, as well as streaming Netflix/Hulu and normal internet browsing. I've only been using this for 6 days at the time of writing this review, but I will point out some key points of my experience thus far.

    1. The curve is amazing for gaming. Took a little getting used to, but the feeling of peripheral vision it creates in FPS games makes a huge difference.

    2. There are no built-in speakers, but there is an aux port so you can easily use your own speakers or headphones.

    3. This is NOT an IPS panel display. I believe it is a VA panel. The blacks are not as deep/accurate as IPS but they still hold their own against many other gaming monitors I've seen from other big name brands.

    4. The monitor does not ship with a standard DP to DP cable, which you will need to get anything higher than 60hz at 1440p. It does include DP to mini DP, as well as standard HDMI and USB-C cables.

    5. I've had zero issues with using HDR in Windows 10 as I saw reported in several other reviews before I made the purchase. The monitor switches between HDR and my custom, non-HDR setting seamlessly when I use any applications that don't support it.

    6. The monitor does sleep and wake-up when the input devices are powered off/on.

    7. It ships in a ridiculously large box.

Overall, I think this thing is a steal at the price it is being sold for. I am definitely happy with my purchase and have no problems recommending it to everyone. If you're having trouble deciding, just go ahead and pull the trigger on this one. You will not regret it!

I've had this for a month or two.
I like this thing. Takes a minute to get used to the curvature but does not distract from experience. Monitor is very adjustable to get your head centered in the middle.
You will NOT get 144hz with HDMI. You will get 120hz with HDMI. 144hz is for display port, but my PC boot up will not display post on the monitor while using it. I have not investigated this. I can see my bios post screen with HDMI without issue.
Brightness, color, most all I need from this monitor is very good at displaying it. I got it specifically for gaming and does not disappoint. PC great. Resolution crisp. Slight focus blur at right and left sides when I got it, but seem to have cleared up. Would not have expected this to need burn in like old CRT monitors.
However, it's 2k. Being 2K, most all consoles will be fine. However, if you are on Roku, Firestick etc... some apps won't recognize the 2k and will revert to 1080p while streaming. But my 4k TV same apps and they stream 4k when available. This is not a problem for me as PC is more for browsing and gaming. Then I'll head to 4K TV for streaming in the other room.
I will definitely buy another BenQ. To me, it is worth it. But, I would spend extra money for the 4K

Beautiful picture, 1440 resolution to take maximum advantage of the screen space and a 144Hz refresh rate. It's all there.
The promise of HDR on this monitor is kind of empty in that it can't reach a constant level of brightnes to really give you what you think you would get for HDR. If really high quality HDR is a MUST for you then this isn't the monitor to buy. It is not a deal breaker for me and everything else about this monitor kicks ass.

I just might sell my Ultrawide version and grab 2 more of these....might need a bigger desk though....

This product had good reviews on Consumer Reports, so I thought I would try a name I haven’t heard of. The packaging seemed good and product secure. There is no remote, which I thought was odd. No big deal though. I set up the TV for my sons Xbox. When I turned it on a 2 inch vertical black line appeared. See picture. Disappointing as this is a gift for my sons birthday, showing him tomorrow. That’s not the end. I emailed the company so I will report back with how they handled this. About two hours later I went to play a game to test it out. When I turned on the screen a green flash occurred and the only thing visible is a “crack like” line (can see on picture). Nothing on the screen works now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome image quality!

I'm always apprehensive in purchasing a monitor, especially at this price point. I wanted something a little bigger than the 27" I had, this suited me great for both my pc and ps4 pro. Hook up was a breeze, bought a certified vesa display cable for the pc, and a similar HDMI for the ps4.

Picture quality is fantastic, not one dead pixel, no freesync 2 issues, g sync is enabled with my gtx 1070.

Destiny 2 looks fantastic on HDR, Black Desert remastered as well. Ps4 Pro games look great.

One small issue I have is there is a small amount of backlight bleed, only noticeable during widescreen videos, load transitions from games. At first I was concerned if it would affect Star Citizen, but the bleeding wasn't noticeable at all during play.

I'll more than likely purchase another, in the near future.
    It's a great monitor!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Monitor for 500 CAD

After shopping for few good weeks, this monitor on paper was unbeatable when it was in special. After I have bought it for my wife's birthday and we received it and tested, the monitor was so impressive from any aspect, we ordered a second one for me.
The curve is perfect, resolution is very good, no dead pixels and its packed with features even picture in picture...
The styling is in very good taste and bypasses those poor taste "Gamer look" RGB monitors for underage or alike...
The 144hz works as a charm as well the variable refresh rate compensation even with my FTW 1080TI.
My wife is still using an GTX 780 Lightning which is struggling to keep the FSP High but still is usable.
My first Benq product and I must say, very good job, a superb product that I am glad I bought.
