The best Thunderbolt 3 dock under $300
All I needed was a one-cable solution to plug all my peripherals into my new Asus M16 laptop. I bounced around 4 different Thunderbolt docks in the $100-$200 range until I was pleasantly surprised to declare this $42 dock the winner. All ports worked right out of the box with no bottlenecks from what I can tell. I've got a 4k 60hz TV plugged into the HDMI and a 2k 160hz monitor plugged into the display port. I've connected a usb 3.0 hub with my mouse, keyboard, and capture card. Finally, the ethernet port gives me the same speeds that I'd get if plugged straight into the laptop.Keep in mind that the cable is extremely short so you may need to get creative with mounting/wire management. For reference, I'm using a Sisyphy Magnetic Thunderbolt adapter and Soundance Laptop stand. The dock does run a little warm but nothing to be concerned about so far. I'll update my review if it ends up being an issue. If you're looking for a reliable Thunderbolt 3 dock that doesn't break the bank, this is the one for you!

This went on sale on Amazon for <$50 and I snapped it up almost immediately. It's worked flawlessly for hosting 2 external monitors. My only complaint is that my Ethernet port seems somewhat faulty, it connects fine but network speeds grind to a halt upon using it. Overall, worth it for the price, if you can get it at that price to begin with.
