THIS REVIEW IS FOR PC - STEAM
Well, there's honestly not much to say. Steam has native support for Xbox One, DualShock 4, and Switch Pro Controllers, so they will most likely, eventually, also develop for the DualSense. I'm not sure when that will be, but I trust Steam with that, since they had done an absolutely PERFECT job for the previous three.Connecting it to PC was insanely easy, just hold SELECT and PS buttons for 3 seconds until the lights flash rapidly, intermittently, and select the controller as a Bluetooth Device on Windows. It did not work immediately on Steam, I had to go into Big Picture (obviously) and configure it from there. What I did was register it as a generic controller by inputting each key for each action. It was honestly pretty simple, since Steam also shows you a picture of a controller and a green light for the current key you need to map. After mapping the keys, I played some Dead Cells, and the experience was pretty flawless. The controller feels GREAT in my hand. It feels like an Xbox One controller... but with the DS4 layout. It has some satisfying heaviness to it. Not that much, but you can definitely feel a good "fullness" in your hand when you compare it to a DS4. The shoulder, and especially trigger buttons feel better, too, since they are a bit larger now.I do have a problem with the SELECT and START keys... they are really stiff. If you have a DS4 with those keys being stiff... oh yeah, these are even stiffer. Still clickable, but very stuff. Perhaps they will become less stiff over the time the more I use the controller, but we'll see. However, some things are not customizable yet, like the DS4 is, such as changing the little light, or its color, and the touchpad. and its clicks. There's also a new button on the DualSense, which is the Mute Mic button as far as I know, and that's not mappable, either.Again, Steam will most likely develop native support for the DualSense also, but for now, it works just like an Xbox Controller, and that's enough for me for now.I have not tested the battery life yet, and I have no charged it yet, it already came with some charge (not sure if 50% or 100%).So far I'd say I'm satisfied, and I'll update my review if anything happens (whether good or bad).Original Review November 3rd - EDIT 5/30/2021:Yup, this controller now has full native Steam Support, and dare I say much better than the DS4 even. Literally everything, EVERYTHING about it is customizable. The touch pad, the lighting, the mic button, anything you would want. It even shows the DualSense button shapes in Steam Big Picture. Connecting takes literally ONE SECOND only. Turn on, and connected, insanely simple.100% recommend, at least for Steam, idk about PlayStation, but I hate PlayStation anyway, so yeah, for PC players, this is THE controller to get in my opinion, as much as I dislike Sony

The PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller has truly impressed me with its innovative design and functionality. From the moment I started using it, I could tell that this controller was something special.

Its ergonomic shape fits perfectly in my hands, making long gaming sessions incredibly comfortable. The tactile feedback and adaptive triggers add a new level of immersion to games, making every action feel more realistic.

But what really stands out is how much my kids love it. They can't get enough of the DualSense controller. Its intuitive design allows even the youngest members of the family to jump into gaming with ease. It's become a staple in our household for family gaming nights, and it brings us all closer together.

The DualSense Wireless Controller has quickly become a must-have accessory for any PlayStation owner. It's a game-changer that elevates the gaming experience for both adults and kids alike. If you're considering upgrading your gaming setup, I highly recommend adding the DualSense controller to your collection. You won't be disappointed!

It definitely feels high quality. Coming from someone who is used to the xbox-style of controllers, it doesn't feel weird to use at all. The joysticks have this grooved pattern on its edges, presumably to give you a better grip, but my fingers still slip a bit. I would get some extra grip pads for this.

The PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller has been well-received and is noted for its innovative features. Here are some key points from product reviews:

1. Haptic Feedback: One of the most praised features is the haptic feedback. It provides a more immersive gaming experience by offering varying vibration intensities and patterns, which simulate real-life tactile sensations.
2. Adaptive Triggers: The adaptive triggers on the L2 and R2 buttons introduce resistance levels that can change dynamically during gameplay. This feature is used creatively in many PS5 games to simulate different physical activities, like drawing a bowstring.
3. Design and Ergonomics: The DualSense controller sports a sleek, futuristic design. It’s slightly larger and heavier than its predecessor, the DualShock 4, which generally improves its ergonomics. The textured grip on the back is also a welcome addition for better handling.
4. Battery Life: The battery life is notably better than the DualShock 4, but still requires regular charging, especially when games heavily utilize the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
5. Built-in Microphone and Headset Jack: The inclusion of a built-in microphone is convenient for quick chats, although it’s not a replacement for a dedicated headset. The controller also retains the headset jack, allowing for private listening and voice chat.
6. Button Responsiveness: The face buttons, D-pad, and analog sticks are reported to be responsive and comfortable to use.
7. Compatibility: While the DualSense is designed for the PS5, it also works with the PS4 and can be connected to PCs and mobile devices via Bluetooth.
8. USB-C Charging: The switch to a USB-C port for charging is a modern update, offering faster charging and more robust connectivity.

Overall, the PS5 DualSense controller is often cited as a significant factor in defining the next-gen gaming experience on the PlayStation 5, with its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback being the standout features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mejor control que he usado en mi vida! (y tips para usar en PC)
Reviewed in Mexico on May 1, 2021
