I purchased this rainbow stacker for a little St. Patrick's day theme on our toy shelf with 2 books. This stacker is super cute and my son (17 mos) already loves it! This is definitely more advanced than a ring stacker or stacking blocks because of the arches and learning what order it goes in. I think this will be a great gift for my son to use as he gets a bit older the next 1-2 years. It's also a very cute piece to have on displayThe only reason for a lack of 5 stars is the paint. There are a few very minor places where it looked scratched or chipped off, which isn't a huge deal. The part that kind of stinks is that the teal paint came off onto my shelves, just by sliding it a bit to shift the positioning. I wish there was a better seal or something on it so it didn't come off so easily.

After reading all the Montessori books about encouraging toys that are classic and open-ended, I was excited to add this toy to the mix. It looks great and is durable, however, there really aren't a lot of ways to play with this toy. Besides arranging them into the rainbow shape or lining them up to create a tunnel, there isn't much more to it- my kids (2 and 3 years old) quickly pushed it to the back of the toy bin. The pieces don't stack onto each other and they're actually a bit hard to keep them upright for small hands. If you're buying this for decoration then it'll make for a great piece but there are definitely better toys available.

The title of this has the words stacking in it, which is what I wanted. A versatile toy for my 2 year old. However they are not for stacking. The way they’re made makes it impossible to stack on top of each other. The tops of them are slanted to you can’t stack. All you can do is put them together how they’re supposed to or use them as tunnels maybe for little cars but they barely stand up because they aren’t very wide. I’m pretty disappointed actually and my daughter, although was excited at first, has lost interest because they only do one thing. That’s putting them together in the order they go. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
