This book is written well for all to comprehend. The names of the dinosaurs are broken down into syllables for easy pronunciation. The illustrations are life like with beautiful color.

My three-year-old son has hit the dinosaur stage, so I bought this book to fulfill his curiosity about all the different dinosaurs. We have learned SO, SO much!! This book has the perfect mix of big, vibrant images, fun facts, detailed descriptions of dinosaurs and a very useful key on each page to help kids put the dinosaur's size into perspective and understand what each dinosaur ate, etc...

Some very clever things we especially love:

1) They've organized it by size. So, chapters are based on small dinosaurs, medium dinosaurs all the way up to gigantic dinosaurs. This is exactly how my son thinks. He wanted to go straight to the huge ones, but it really helped to have all of them in one section.

2) The little key on each page often shows the dinosaur next to a human to show the size comparison. My son LOVES seeing that the dinosaurs could have "stepped on Dad" as he puts it It puts it all into perspective for a child.

3) They have the pronunciation for each dinosaur on each page. THANK YOU!!! This is a life-saver. It helped me pronounce every dinosaur's name perfectly and teach them all to my son. And I love that at age 3, my son can now talk comfortably about Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus and even Mamenchisaurus. This is all thanks to this book!

4) They include something unique and interesting about almost every dinosaur, so it makes it easy to remember them because of these fun little facts.

We have a lot of dinosaur books, but this book is the only one that has created a bonding experience between my son and me, and truly educated both of us about dinosaurs. I recommend it again and again. It's phenomenal and it's so reasonably priced!!

This would be wonderful for any child from age 3 to age 15. I love it as an adult.

My grandson is 4 and LOVES dinosaurs. He is a smart little guy and can pronounce the complicated names with very few mistakes. He takes his book to his parents and tells them all about the dinosaurs pictured. Of course, his parents (my son and daughter-in-law) are not only proud of his intelligence, they indulge is love of dinosaurs. He has curtains and a bedspread printed with dinosaurs. This book is highly recommended for its detailed pictures in color, the careful and accurate explanations of the dinosaur, and the phonetical spelling of their names so a child of any age can learn to pronounce them. Next year, a dinosaur encyclopedia for a child.

I love this book for my son. He has always had an interest in dinosaurs and this book gives him great details about his favorite ones. He was very excited to get the book and looks through it reading all the time. He is 7 years old and it’s awesome to hear him read about the dinosaurs.

This was a terrific book for my young nieces. It is age appropriate, interesting with impressive illustrations and text that draws in a young reader's attention and gets them curious about science subjects.

My son is two and he LOVES this book. We first checked it out from the library and when he asked to read the "Da book" several times a day and got upset when I said we had to return it, I thought I better find it to purchase. He loves looking at all the different dinosaurs and has seriously surprised me with how well he hangs onto their scientific names. I love the way his little voice says their names, it makes my Mama heart happy. The pictures are vibrant and the pages and binding are of good quality. His little brother will occasionally get to it to violently turn the pages, and they have held up well. He is pretty kind to it though, because he loves it so much, so I haven't seen how it takes to being dropped or thrown. I am impressed with how well it's made. There are fun facts throughout the book, there is no gore or "scary images." The only things that come close is there is a dinosaur eating a prehistoric caterpillar, and a large dinosaur with a small dinosaur in it's mouth. I am pleased that there aren't battle scenes or blood or anything of that. Oh, there is an Ankylosaurus with it's tail trying to bash a T-Rex, but like I said, there isn't anything scary in the book. Sometimes that's hard to find in a dinosaur book, especially when you're showing it toddlers! Enjoy! I hope this book brings your family as much joy and fun as it has to mine.

My daughter loves dinosaurs and she likes when they look real and to get real facts on them. The other kiddie books with the flaps she didn't love.

My granddaughter is 16 months old. She loves this book and the Reef book! She even pays attention when I read it to her. Both are beautiful and have nice pages that are just thick enough so she doesn't tear them. She knows to be gentle with her new big girl books, and she loves them. She brings them over for me and her grandpa to read to her every time she visits...which, luckily for us, is often!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing illustrations and short clear info
Reviewed in Spain on March 23, 2023
This book is amazing. Very clearly structured, grouping dinosaurs by size (small, big, giant and gigantic), which is the kids’ intuitive way to look at this. Short clear info, just the right amount not to lose kids’ attention span on the page (this is not a comprehensive encyclopaedia. If you want extensive info, you need another book). Also stunning illustrations. A delight ! Kids ( 3 and 5 yo) keep coming back to it.
