Excellent Product - Huge upgrade over a basic bike computer
Leaving a review for this device feels like writing a user review for "Google" or something (because there aren't many big players in this space). I guess the main reason why I took 5mins to write this is for the person who is using a basic bike computer and is unsure about whether or not they should upgrade to a full function device.I upgraded to the wahoo from a Coospo BC 107 in my 5th month of cycling because I was starting a training program and i needed something with more functionality than what the $40 coospo offered.This device is my partner in training. I build my workout in training peaks and then it syncs with my wahoo elemnt. I can do the workout i've built outside or indoors on my wahoo kickr. The elemnt works very well with the kickr.The user interface is relatively simple. The battery life is great. It tells me when batteries on my devices (power meter, spedometer etc) need to be charged/changed.I don't use the GPS often, but it just works. I've never had a problem with turning the device on and it not being able to find a signal (this has happened several times with my coospo). I've built a few routes using strava and synced them onto the device. works seamelssly. I do not like how much the device beeps at you when you go off-route. It is a useful feature when i'm in an unfamiliar place with open roads, but VERY annoying when i'm riding in a city that is a grid like nyc. Riding with GPS is the exception for me, however. One cool thing about riding a route is that the Wahoo will yell at you to let you know that a climb is coming and then tell you about the climb (grade, distance etc etc - it is a great way to help you conserve energy when you're going on climbs in unfamiliar places).I opted to get a wahoo after reading in several places that Garmin doesn't support its devices well. I opted to not get a hammerhead karoo because of the price point

I upgraded to the wahoo from a Coospo BC 107 in my 5th month of cycling because I was starting a training program and i needed something with more functionality than what the $40 coospo offered.
This device is my partner in training. I build my workout in training peaks and then it syncs with my wahoo elemnt. I can do the workout i've built outside or indoors on my wahoo kickr. The elemnt works very well with the kickr.
The user interface is relatively simple. The battery life is great. It tells me when batteries on my devices (power meter, spedometer etc) need to be charged/changed.
I don't use the GPS often, but it just works. I've never had a problem with turning the device on and it not being able to find a signal (this has happened several times with my coospo). I've built a few routes using strava and synced them onto the device. works seamelssly. I do not like how much the device beeps at you when you go off-route.
