Editorial Reviews
Product Description
The French duo featuring Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem recorded the album at their home studio in Paris between September and November 2004. Virgin.

You'd never guess from Human After All that these are the same guys who came up with the opulent dance grooves of 2001's Discovery. On Human After All it sounds like Daft Punk's robotic alter egos have finally gotten the upper hand and made an album that is defiantly free of emotion and personality. Instead, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo amp up the irony and deliver a set of songs that are maddeningly repetitive, raucous and bound to test the most devoted fan's patience. But even as the French duo short-circuits it manages to captivate--the spoken-word "Technologic" and the digitized "The Prime Of Your Life" are just bananas enough to make its euphoric hit "One More Time" sound positively last century. --Aidin Vaziri

-Human After All offers a repetitive robotic voice saying "we are human after all", "After all", "Flesh uncovered", and "Human". The catchy music underneath all those robotic voices is what makes this track so great.
- The Prime Time Of Your Life offers the same robotic voice like Human after all but of course this time they are saying "Prime time of your life" and the track starts out as a slow repetition of the robotic voice then quickly picks up pace.
- Robot Rock is, in my opinion, what makes this album pull the listener in a little more with a robotic voice repeating "Robot Rock". This is a really great track.
- Steam Machine is a man saying at a low voice "Steam Machine" while the track moves along.
- Make Love is just an instrumental with the music fading in and playing on and then slowly fading out. Its a really mellow track.
- The Brainwasher is the track that throws you back into the loud bass and makes you feel a bit more primal. Very catchy I must say.
-ON/Off is just someone switching the channels like we have all done when there isn't anything on TV but it lends itself to the next track.
- Television rules the nation slowly comes in and repeats the title in their signature robot voice plays for a bit and then slowly fades out. This is a really great track.
- Technologic starts off with a techno tongue twister robot voice and continues on with another robotic voice joining in saying "yeah yeah" Very catchy track.
- Emotion is another amazing track but at a slower speed like Make Love, very smooth and mellow. A great track to close out the album.
Personally I loved the robotic voice that was going on with most of the tracks. This disc is smooth with a bit of roughness like The Brainwasher but still an amazing disc. It's one to add to the collection. Daft Punk keeps their music fresh so that your not listening to the same thing as the previous album like so many artists do so that fans aren't disappointed.
Pros and cons on a CD?! (yeah I know)
Pros
-Such great dance music
-Cool black CD that you can only read if you deflect light on it.
Cons
-Acquired taste(could be a pro for a yuppie or somebody like that)
-Not as good as Discovery
-Album cover isn't as cool as Discovery! (Hah not really a con)
Now I know I put 3 cons and 2 pros, but trust me, this album is worth it if you've liked Daft Punk for a while.
My favorite tracks by appearance order:
1. Human After All
2. The Prime Time Of Your Life
3. Robot Rock
8. Television Rules The Nation
9. Technologic
It's a little too repetitive for me, repetitive for me, repetitive for me - the tracks lack substance and don't really go anywhere. If you like that then you should be squared-away with this one. I don't feel too bad as the album was only $5 - perspective, but I probably should have just bought 1 or 2 tracks.
