My favorite game from the Fallout franchise! When I last played it I had borrowed the original edition (i.e. sans dlc) from a friend and did the main quest without completing all thr side quests first. So of course when I saw it was only $11 I had to buy the ultimate edition. Came wrapped up, brand new!

I always loved fallout 3 but never got into this one for some reason. Had to play it because my brother loves and now I love it as much as 3. FNV was kind of buggy at first and crashed time to time so make sure you save alot. I have put probably 100+ hours since I got it last summer and about 1300 gamerscore

5.0 out of 5 stars Un de los mejores Fallout
Reviewed in Spain on October 2, 2014

5.0 out of 5 stars Back Into The Wasteland!!

Having been a huge fan of fallout 3 and having purchased new Vegas and all the dlc's separately, and with no new fallout game on the horizon I decided to take the plunge and go back into the world of fallout new Vegas. First of all let me talk about the game itself, you get all of the four regular DLC's which where Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues & Lonesome road I'd say the DLC's alone add around 20 hours worth of game time and within a campaign that could last 100+ hours you have some serious game for you're money. You also receive the couriers stash and the gun runners arsenal, the courier stash DLC basically gives you access to a number of new weapons and armours that where only available for people who pre-ordered the game, the gun runners arsenal adds a number of new weapons and challenges for the player to complete which gives another couple of hours gameplay.

The main core of the game involves you a courier exploring the wastes and completing quests for various factions, unlike in it's predecessor fallout 3 which was based on a karma system (there is a karma system in fallout new Vegas but it's less important) this fallout is based on you're reputation with certain factions as to how the story plays out, there still a lot choice in what you do and how you do it which makes the game fun and entertaining to explore the different options. Much like it's predecessor fallout new vegas relies heavily on the player gaining experience and levelling up their character but in fallout 3 enemies levelled up at the same time as the player did making enemies much tougher to defeat at higher level. in fallout new vegas however the enemies are set at a certain level this is good and bad in some respects good in the sense that easier enemies to kill don't level up with you but bad in some respects as it makes some creatures very tough to kill. It means that players will have to think tactically and can not just charge head on into every battle.

The story line is very good although I won't go into detail about it, the DLC's are all linked in some way to certain characters and events unlike fallout 3 where there were 5 different dlc's. The game does though like glitch and crash the console once in a while but when you consider what you are getting for you're money, it's a minor inconvenience, overall it's a highly addictive fun game with hours worth of gameplay I'd recommend this to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing game couldn't recommend more

Amazing Game couldn't recommend more. It's much improved on Fallout 3 and the dlc is brilliant. You'll be hard pressed to find a better bargain for all the dlc together as its more expensive to buy on the xbox store.
Played on both xbox 360 and xbox one, the better experience is on the xbox one as load times are reduced dramatically and the game plays more stable with less crashes. On 360 in about 60 hours I had 4 crashes and on the One in about 110 hours I had 1.
As for the dlcs if you were a newcomer like myself leave lonesome road till the end as it ties up the couriers story quite nicely before the end game. Also Lonesome road is the only dlc I'd go in with strong weapons and armor, for the others bring basic weapons and clothes you wont mind dumping throughout the playthrough.
