I'm passionate about board games and a Big fan of Mysterium. Mysterium park saves time doing the set up of the game; psychics only have to guess de character and the crime scene, different from classic Mysterium, that also have the tool guessing. Illustrations are incredibly beautiful and works perfectly with classic Mysterium expanssions and DixIt cards.

I really liked this game, even on opening. The graphics are stunning, and the directions are pretty easy to follow.
A killing has happened at a creepy carnival. One person is a psychic picking up clues to let the other players try to cooperatively figure out the details.
It sounds simple, but it leaves a lot of room for creativity in play, though I'd recommend at least three people, it's still OK for a one on one play as well.
It is cooperative -- the "win" is in figuring out what happened. It also requires everyone to bring their best to the game, and to think outside the box. For me, the psychic role is the most fun, but someone else that's played would rather be on the "deciphering the impressions" end of it.
If you like great art, games that require thought, and a leisurely and moderately loose game play, I think this might be a lot of fun. I loved it, and I hope you do as well.

If you like Mysterium then you will like Mysterium Park. It's basically the same game minus the weapons category. If you've never played Mysterium this is the better intro to the game. It has all of the gameplay of Mysterium but it's streamlined to cut down on the time to set up and play the game. And for those who haven't played either this is sort of a visual Clue deduction game that is cooperative--everyone is on the same team here. Very fun and not hard to pick up. If you already have Mysterium this is still a whorthwhile purchase. It's good to bring out when you need a shortened game time.

Mysterium Park is a really fun family game. It kind of plays out like cooperative Clue where you’re trying to solve a murder mystery. The difference is you’re only acquiring 2 elements (the person and the place), and you’re actually finding who DIDN’T do it and where it DIDN’T happen. It’s also inspired by Dixit, because a single player knows the whodunit information and tries to convey that information to the other players through abstract artwork cards. I have younger elementary school children, and they enjoyed the concept after my wife and I explained the abstract art and the potential hidden meanings. We have played about 15 rounds of the game and have enjoyed them all. Here’s a quick rundown of the pros and cons:

    PROS
Packaging: I couldn’t be more impressed with the packaging. The items inside are laid out in such a way that every bit has its spot and there isn’t any wasted space.

Artwork: The abstract artwork is amazing. The variety fits the different characters and locations well enough to where many cards can represent many different people and places. The dark carnival theme of the other cards is pretty cool too. This would be a good annual Halloween game.

Gameplay: It’s entertaining to see how your friends and family will try to convey abstract concepts. Seeing how another’s mind perceives imagery can lead to some good laughs.

    CONS
Player Count: The game says it’s a 2 player game. It’s straight up not fun. I’d recommend 4 players at a minimum (1 player as the ghost, and 3 psychics). That gave the best variety.

Ghost Challenges: The ghost player can be challenging, especially for younger players. They basically become the game manager by handing out art cards, knowing where the people and locations are, and making sure to not confuse the other players. My wife had the exact opposite problem. She hated being a psychic and trying to interpret what the ghost player was trying to convey. She basically became the all time ghost, which leads to the final con.

Replayability: The game is entertaining and can be played several times. However, having a single ghost character run the show every time, eventually you see every person, place, and abstract card. You’ll eventually learn the ghosts card preferences for certain cards, and the game becomes almost too easy/repetitive.

With all that said, this game is worth the price. Im also toying around with the idea of using the Mysterium Park cards as a standalone Dixit expansion. I would gladly purchase this again. I likely will never purchase the original Mysterium game. I hope this review helps with your buying decision :).

I got this game for Ma stepdaughter and our family for Christmas. She’s 10 and my husband and I are in our early 30s. I only say this to say that I think it’s a great game for different ages. The imagery on the cards was very nice and the game was pretty simple to learn to play. It’s a nice game that we can play together as a family but it would also be a good game for my husband and our friends to play. I wouldn’t consider it just a kids game and that’s why I gave it such a high review.

Overal, super fun game! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing it.

Bought this as a Xmas gift for my daughter because she loves to play Mysterium and it looked to be very similar. The gameplay is a little more difficult than Mysterium but the fun factor is still high. If you like Mysterium, you will love this game. This game is quicker than Mysterium as well as I found that we were able to complete games in about 30 minutes.

I loved the art of the visions, locations, and suspects. This game really makes you think and try and get in the other players heads. I think it is easy to understand while the game play is more medium difficulty. My friends and I were unable to beat the game in the slotted amount of turns but we look forward to playing it again and trying to win. I think the game play will get repetitive after a couple times but there are a good amount of cards that will make each game different. I think eventually buying the first game of mysterium and mixing the cards would also extend game play

My gaming group was never able to get into the original Mysterium. We love Dixit, but that game never clicked for us. Seeing the simplicity of Mysterium Park, we decided to give it another go. My wife and I play with our children, 4, 6, and 11yo, and all of us love it. While I understand the criticism of the final round not making sense thematically, where random cards from the earlier rounds are what make it to the final scene, this doesn't bother us at all. The game is easy to learn, play, and fund for multiple sessions.

Now just looking forward to more expansion cards!

I have been trying to get my partner more into cooperative games, but also ones that do not require at least 90 minutes per session. Mysterium Park is a fantastic solution. As fans of Dixit, we were immediately enthralled by the cards. The gameplay is easy to learn, and enjoyable to play. With already several rounds under our cooperative belt, we will be certainly playing many, many more, and we are also looking forward to playing this with friends as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars A work of art
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 2, 2021
This is a wonderful game. Don't be put off by the smaller box or lower cost than original Mysterium - this is all about getting lost in the pictures, which are beautifully painted and printed on large, high quality cards. The simple and effective board and playing pieces are all else you need, and the quick set up time is a bonus.
The character and location cards are presented in a slightly steampunk style, or at least highly reminiscent of the Victorian carnival era. These are laid out on the game board. The ghost's vision cards are really quite surreal and, importantly to the game, allow both logic and imagimation to wander in all directions as players try to interpret them.
In terms of gameplay the true genius of Mysterium Park is that only one person - the ghost - needs to know how to play it. The others can just go along for the ride! For anyone who has tried explaining the rules of a game to distracted family members or visiting friends, perhaps a little too late in the evening, this is a game changer...
