So far so great.

So far so great.
Xbox One version. This stick is great so far. Not only does Razer make it super-duper easy and accessible to customize, but they even incluse the tools you need to do it. The top panel opens up with the press of a button, and a hydraulic arm holds it open so you don't have to worry about it slamming down while you're working . All the buttons and the joy stick are easily swappable, and it even includes a spare bat-style joystick grip; it comes with the ball-top grip installed, but switching it out for the bat grip is easier than cake. Aesthetically, the Atrox looks pretty cool with the typical green color scheme and design Razer is known for. It's got a very simple layout with a lock switch and Xbox button in the top left panel, the stick and 8 buttons on the face, and the "start/select" buttons (whatever they're called on Xbox One now) on the right side of the body. The 13 FOOT cable, which is just an INSANE length, is completely detachable and storable inside the stick with all your tools and spare parts. The cable has a breakaway at the end, typical of Xbox controllers over the last 11 years. There is a lot of room to rest my hands when other premium sticks are just a little small; I love the TES+ from Madcatz, but it's a little smaller than I'd like. I did get this stick used, so I'll see how it holds up over time. It arrived in great condition and I'm very happy with it so far.Update - So far this stick is holding up great, and I customized the buttons and artwork! It looks sick and was the easiest stick I've ever customized. For the price, I'd say this is the best stick on the market, although it doesn't work with steam games, only Microsoft Xbox games on the PC app (Killer Instinct). This is severely disappointing as I would like to play games on Steam with this stick. I bought a CronusMAX Plus so , can use it on PS4 anyway, but it's kinda ridiculous that I have to use it to make it compatible wirh Steam, too.

Don’t let the one star reviews push you away. I got the DBZ Fighter Edition, and it has been a complete joy to use. I let my two little ones use it as well, they are 11 and 7 and beat the crap out of it playing street fighter and DBZ. So far so good. I have only tried this on XBOX One X and it works flawlessly out of the box.

Came with everything except the bat stick which I don’t use anyway. All the negative reviews are outdated and mainly complain about PC support. I am sure there is a workaround for it by now. Also since the upcoming Xbox Series X is upon release and the current controllers are “forwards” compatible with it I would assume this fight stick will be as well. If not, I will just change out the board for an updated one.

All in all I rate this 5 stars due to it being able to take a beating by my kids, who play heavy handed and rough. It also looks gorgeous, the graphic design just looks sick! The fact that is is plug and play is also another reason. It also doesn’t feel cheaply made, it has a nice weight, and the ability to customize makes this a great purchase for the price. I have a feeling these won’t last long.

First of all, the product itself is solid. I got it to use on my PC, which has a few issues (see below for an easy fix), but love it now that I've got it working. The stick switches are clicky and feel great; same for the buttons. It's heavy and has a non-slip pad covering most of the bottom, so it stays put on both your lap and desktop. It pops open easily if you ever want to mod it or replace worn parts. Apparently, the artwork is easy to swap out with a custom image, but I haven't tried that yet, so I can't confirm.

Works great with emulators like Retroarch, MAME, and FBAlpha as well as modern games like Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat 11 and Guilty Gear Xrd. With the custom driver from XBOFS, Steam recognizes it as a "virtual 360 controller" and allows you to remap it like any other controller.

To get it working correctly on PC, you'll need to download and install the XBOFS driver (google it). It takes about 10 minutes and a reboot to install (follow the instructions on the site). Once it's properly installed, you'll have a fully-functioning fight stick.

I purchased the Xbox one version, and I've had it for a while now. I originally bought it to play fighting games with a buddy of mine, and for that purpose, it works great. The build is solid, and the product feels responsive (to be fair, I'm not a fighting game expert). I swapped out the original bracket for an octagonal bracket, which was very easy (unscrew the old one, pop in the new one).

My issue with the Atrox is that it doesn't seem to be much of an arcade stick, but rather a fighting game stick. It seems to work with most of the fighting games that I have, but works with very few of my other games. When I bought it, I assumed that the arcade stick would be interpreted by the Xbox One as the standard controller's Left Stick or Dpad. That's not the case. It seems as though the Atrox won't work at all if the manufacturers of the game didn't build in a specific code allowing it to work (e.g. won't control the menu screen, behaves as if no controller is plugged in). Apparently, there are youtube videos that show you how to solder in a new PCB which will allow it to operate for other games, but that just seems excessive considering that you probably shelled out a few hundred dollars for this controller.

I find it confusing that Microsoft and Razer would build in an artificial barrier like this. I think it would be a lot of fun to play side scrollers and games like Diablo 3 with the Atrox (even if certain functionality would be lost by not having a Dpad or Right Stick).

This is a very awesome stick. I bought it for my wife as she just recently got an Xbox One for Killer Instinct. This stick is easily modded and sturdy. I like the cord that comes with it and swapping out parts were a breeze. It is very solid and doesn't feel like it's going to creak and because it's on the Xbox One it doesn't have to follow Microsoft's stupid button layout for a non branded stick. The base is a little smaller than it's main competition which is the Madcatz T.E. 2 which some people would prefer and opening up the stick is easier than the competition's also as it comes with an hydraulic arm. The cord is also longer than the one that comes with the T.E.2 which I feel is really important because the Xbox one doesn't have any front USB ports and if you plan to use more than one stick you have to plug it into the back which may be a hassle based upon your entertainment set up.

Now onto the bad which I would say is much. The only things I would say is that the stick is a little on the expensive side given that the Xbox doesn't have many fighters and it seems like it is going to have less than the PS4 which isn't to the fault of Razer. It is a shame that the stick only works for the xbox one (one would think there would be Xbox 360 compatability) but it's not a big hit against it because the Xbox version of the T.E.2 has the same issue. Some people might have an issue that the stick is pretty much the exact same design as the Xbox 360 version which means there was no evolution but I see no problem with that because the stick is borderline perfect design right about now. Some people might be a little upset that isn't not as easy to customize the look of the stick as compared to it's rival. There is no way to quickly or easily swap out panel art or any sides of the stick. It's also a shame that Razer won't release a Playstation version of the stick.

Those setbacks aside, this is a very awesome stick and it is the best stick on Xbox One. the Honeycomb bottom pretty much makes the stick future proof to add more PCBs if you are willing to spend the money. If you don't care about a specially branded stick, or you don't plan to swap out art all the time this is probably the stick for you.

I bought it as a gift for my son. He says It’s big and heavy works great with fighting games as per its intention. The only thing missing that would make this controller the bomb, would be some sort of mic adapter.
