A history reluctantly visited

We knew we were going to get here and learn the fate of some of our beloved heroes. Truthfully, coming off the last issue i didn't think this issue was going to go straight to it, but since this is only a 4 issue tale, no time could be wasted. Meaning, it touches on the past and present while leaving me satisfied. With No SPOILERS i will say the story gets to the point quick and pegs you to the end. The way it did end leaves me interested on how this story will come to its conclusion. This was an anticipated book of 2021 being that this story goes to a place that most comic book stories usually avoids in order to maintain the mythology of our favorite heroes. This story so far has been unforgiving and if it ends well, i wouldn't be surprised to see a spin off series based on this timeline. Would we see a new generation of Turtles?

5/5 because this volume answers many questions from vol.1 such as giving more history about the gothic girl who helped save the protagonist. The pacing was much improved , in my opinion, because of a smaller shift in scenes. It was much easier to follow theose transitiins from past to present, and street to lair.
I highly recommend this series to fans of Batman the Animated Series or any lover of TMNT.

A complete 360 thrill ride, far different from the lovable goofy characters in the cartoon series I grew up in. Very dark with surprises around every corner. Little bits and pieces all coming together make for a fantastic story arc. I have not been this excited for a comic series in a very long time.

I was told it would answer all the questions about what happened to Michelangelo's family in full detail and if Baxter Stockman was with the Foot Clan or April and her daughter. But we only see Raphael and Splinter dying ; and we didn't see the event which mortally wounded. We also don't get to see Baxter Stockman at all.
