Why did she do that?
Why does she love Steve Trevor? He's wetter than a week in Wrexham.
Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, and Wonder Tot are sisters in this story but wasn't Wonder Girl the teenage Wonder Woman in that other story?
I wished my cousin bought Superman, or Batman, or Mystery In Space, so I had something good to read when my mother visited her big sister.
My tastes have changed. Now I like the weird Wonder Woman stories. There are Wonder Girl stories for ten-year-olds and Wonder Woman stories for older girls.
If you have a daughter or a niece who loves Gal Gadot's or Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, buy her this. It begins with a new origin for Wonder Woman. So, she won't have to worry about what went before.
Unlike Superman and Batman, few of her regular Golden Age foes reappeared in the Silver Age. Etta Candy and the Holliday Girls made a couple of appearances. Etta Candy had been on a diet. I wouldn't have recognised her. One of the great things about her was she was fat and didn't care. Another was that she was the shortest but she was the boss. There was a story about the tall Holliday Girl who wanted to be short and the short Holliday Girl who wanted to be tall. in the Golden Age, all the Holiday Girls apart from Etta Candy looked much the same. Now they had names and personalities. Unlike Flash and Green Lantern, she got few new regular enemies. But this book has robots, giants, aliens, merboys, mermaids, monsters, robot giants, giant aliens, princesses, and robot princesses
Oh.
If you buy your daughter or niece this book and she tries to run across a bridge of crocodiles, don't blame me or Wonder Woman. Let me quote Wonder Woman, "You must all promise me never to try to duplicate my feats."
There is one story in which an ordinary girl was given three wishes. The first was to borrow Wonder Woman's bracelets. The second was to borrow her lasso. The third was to borrow her tiara. If she was unable to use them, she had to give them back. She was unable to use them because she had not had Amazon training. I think the editor (Robert Kanigher) told the writer (Robert Kanigher) to write that story to dissuade girls from playing bullets and bracelets.
