You could have a cheap emulation box that plays many games, but having an official product that actually gets licenses for the games that are being provided is invaluable. From the product finish to the user interface when games are inserted, I feel like a lot of thought went it in making this products. Although it provides games from many different retro consoles and arcades, every thing seems to belong cohesively in the system. I looking forward to adding more games to the library. I really like the product.
Very well made! The game library is interesting too. Controller is a little chunky but I was able to use an Xbox controller with no issues. If you love retro games, you will probably really like this.
I plugged it in, flipped through about 60 seconds of menus, froze up and never turned on again. This cost $100 and the closest UPS shipping store is 45 minutes from my house, 90 minutes there and back so I'm stuck with this. Read the reddit reviews, many complaints about this
Support for multiple wired controllers, 1-4 local players, save states, being able to have 2 cartridges in and sometimes getting bonus games depending on which combo, goes a long way. Surprisingly, the default controller is pretty solid for most of the games. Highly suggest a wired controller with a Turbo feature for any shooters you play though, makes them much more fun. The secret games are a nice touch too (look online).
Make sure you research which game collections will appeal to you first before going all in and getting some. Not all the cartridges are worth it, especially when you can get some of the games for low cost or free on Steam, itch, GOG, etc.
The Technos arcade one (purple boxes are arcade based, red ones from various consoles) that came with the system was OK, but not really a system seller or worthy pack in title.
Recibí el articulo en muy buena condición, con la caja intacta. En cuanto a la consola es muy fácil de activar, prácticamente solo se colocan los cartuchos apagándose y prendiéndose similar a un SNES o aparatos similares, a menos que se quiera configurar lo cual también es sencillo.
